I'm seeing so much 'the left did censorship first' rhetoric from people cheering that Kimmel got suspended after the FCC chair called for it. If your standard for acceptable/moral conduct is "people I view as evil tyrants did it so it's justifiable when my team does it," you are no better than those you view as the biggest threat to your freedom.

Cancel culture didn't cancel Jimmy Kimmel. Kimmel cancelled himself with asinine comments on a network that NEEDS conservatives and liberals watching their shows. Simple as that. He wanted to be edgy to look good to his elitist liberal friends. He bit the hand that fed him too hard.
Couple that with late night shows hemorrhaging viewers and money and it was a simple choice for Disney. One brought on 100% by Kimmel.
