This may be a dumb question - does the WH get to pick who gets to come to the press conferences? Acosta - you're out, other CNN reporter - you're in.

Don't know if that makes sense - brain isn't quite firing on all cylinders.

The White House being able to hand pick the press would be a pretty awful precedent.

Sure. But blackballing one scum bag journalist doesn't bother me.

CNN has tons of those they can run out there in his place.

Freedom of the press being shite on is just overdramatic b.s..

Good. I hope Trump plays hardball with Acosta and CNN the rest of the way. They sure aren't going to give him any slack so he should extend none to them

They aren’t doing anything to the press....the speeches and press conferences will still be aired and any journalist ( ) can report whatever they want.

What if they just never asked questions? What if they only took questions from FoxNews?

Why can’t I go to the press conference? I feel like a journalist today.....

The White House just needs to implement a few rules for press conferences.

1. Assigned seating (with Acosta sitting in the very back). Anyone refusing to sit in correct seat causes conference to end immediately and that person is banned from the next conference.

2. WH picks "journalist" who can ask a question, anyone who speaks without permission causes the immediate end of conference and that "journalist" is banned for the next conference.

3. WH intern holds microphone for "journalist", if any "journalist" touches the microphone, press conference is over and that person is banned from next conference.

Treat them like first graders.

It's 2018... shouldn't the white house be able to cut the microphone of any reporter talking past their turn. If you continue to disrupt a press conference, you're thrown out.

Sorry CNN, you're not special. Ask your 1 question, be happy with the answer given, and sit down/shut up while others take their turn.

Acosta should get the permaban. He’s not a journalist.

no of course not, that why all this lawsuit BS is so stupid. CNN can send anyone they want to be a WH corespondent. just not whiny little jimmy.

the WH cannot deny access to "media outlets" but they arent required to accept whoever those outlets choose to send, then can and absolutely do have every right to dictate someone who is being disruptive or rude is denied access to be disruptive and rude.

I heard something today that was surpising. When asked about this Kelly Anne Conway said, that particular network has 50 (fifty) press passes for the White House.

So yes they have another 49 who can take his place, including miss April who is just as obnoxious.
