Does it say anywhere by law or the constitution that the White House has to let CNN into the press conferences at all.

I mean... other news outlets are there?

Could The White House bar CNN althogether?

As much as I hate cnn. Not a good move for trump if he does this.

This will get some downvotes, but you have to keep freedom of the press. I can’t control the shitty opinion news reporting they do, but you still have to have them.

:;putting on my tin foil hat::

I never recall cnn bring this bias before.

What changed from 1995 to now that the deep state wants us to go this far left?

He better have his head on a swivel. Someone is going to knock the ever loving shite out of him. Mark it down. You don't disrespect our President or a young lady like that. Who the hell does he think he is?

The press secretary serves at the pleasure of the president
The press secretary office extends invitations to news organizations and their personnel to cover the White House
The White House press secretary is free to rescind the invitation to any individual or news organization they see fit
Taking Acosta’s WH press pass is rescinding his invitation, cnn is still free to send someone else
There is no suppression of the press here at all

Yeah it would be a very bad move both politically and for the country if he were to outright ban CNN, he does have the authority to do it.

But absolutely Acosta having his pass revoked is both okay and should have happened a long time ago. Not only does he continually disrespect the Office of the Presidency but continually disrespects every other reporter in there. Reporters that make it all about themselves instead of the news or what they are reporting on, have lost their way and the basics of journalism. April Ryan should be next as well. Never does she ask Huckabee-Sanders anything remotely to do with what she is supposed to be reporting on. She works for CNN but her press pass is issued for American Urban Radio Networks (black radio in the inner cities). She never asks anything to do with the issues that matter, its always racially charged gotcha questions that everyone can see right there. That just wastes time and she is doing exactly what she falsely claims the President is doing trying to create racial divide.

There are a lot of liberal journalists that at the very least do not make it about themselves and just ask ridiculous questions.

He's not banning CNN. He's banning Acosta because he acted like a fricking a-hole and put his hands on a young women who was just an intern doing her job.

You can't talk to your boss that way and get away with it. When you're in school, we all had teachers we thought were stupid, but we can't just say whatever to them. I had coaches I thought knew nothing, but I wasn't going to be an a-hole to them.

Sometimes, you just have to show some fricking respect. They act like because they don't like him, they can come at him...HE IS THE PRESIDENT! Like it or not, put respect behind his name.

I don't care what side you are on. I don't care if you don't think it's assault.

No reporter WORTHY of having press credentials(which is a privilege not a RIGHT) should have EVER acted that way towards the president, the office, NOR A STAFFER trying to do her job.

He deserves to have it removed. CNN can send somebody else

This. Anybody remember ed Henry acting like this towards Obama?

This. I mean, my God. I had great contempt for Obama but didn't act like an arse when I got the chance to meet him. Because I respect the office and I respect the decision of the American people to put him in said office, whether I agreed with the decision or not. Not my place or anyone's place to bow up to the POTUS just because you think you're oh so important.

Exactly. If Obama showed up at my door campaigning for Abrams, would I have disrespected him? Hell no, dude was the President of the United States for 8 years. I dislike the guy a lot, but you respect a man who is probably the most powerful human in the world right now

Well, is the new tactic simply to eliminate reporters you don’t like? TYrump’s America is becoming unrecognizable.

CNN is free to report whatever they want. That is freedom of the press. What they are not free to do is continue asking the same questions over and over again for months taking up other news outlet's time for their questions.

How long do you guys think Accosther will be in time-out? A week? A month? For eternity?

My guess is a month.
