She will simply move to another state and get a license. I suggest Downtown Portland or Chicago. Fits well into her style.
Because this is her chosen profession ...it seems she has no other talent medical wise. Maybe China is a better match.

When you are discussing politics with your moderate buddies who maybe hold their nose when they vote for Trump or can't even bring themselves to pull the lever for him -- remember this type of stuff. This is also why the senate is such a big deal. In the next 4 years you will have anywhere from 1 to 3 justices that will be replaced. Not to mention Trump reforming the 9th circuit and loading down the circuits and districts with judges who will serve hopefully 1, 2 or maybe even 3 generations. The deep state Bush family has failed America in SCOTUS appointments in a big way.

Seems rational and stable.

I would wager a coke and a moon pie that there are resident libs on this site that will rationalize this behavior therefore (in their mind) making that behavior acceptable.

Is DisplacedBuckeye still around? Abortion rationalization was his specialty. His posts on the topic were a perfect case study into the rationalization of a sociopath.

Aggie Hank was prominent in those threads as well. Based on what recall, I would Hank would argue that the baby lacks sentience.
Does that mean what this woman is doing okay with Hank? Hopefully he finds his way in into this thread. Agree or disagree with Hank, he stands by his convictions. FWIW, I find that he gets hung up in minutiae. Hank answering this question should be enlightening though.

God help us if these demons ever gain complete control of the Oval Office and the U.S.Congress.

I know a doctor or twelve that lose their license here, and just move to DC/Cali/Mass to continue the carnage up there.
She will be practicing soon, just not on Alabamians.

quote:Even this standard falls short because the baby has been developing normally and as expected until the heartbeat begins.
The second point is when does life begin? Good, reasonable people can have different opinions on when that is. For me personally I have no basis other than my faith. If brought into the conversation talking to others, if asked, I tell them that I don't know, so what I have done is asked myself when does life end? I think life ends when the heart stops beating. And if that is when it ends, then for me, I just turned it around and believe that it is logical that life then begins when the heart starts beating.
Also people outside the womb may need assistance with their hearts to function correctly such as with pacemakers but that doesn’t make them less human. Even removing a heart temporarily doesn’t remove value or life from a person as there are bypass machines that keep you alive without a heart.
I think the only consistent point of development to use when answering this question is at conception, where the baby becomes genetically unique from its parents and begins its natural human development that doesn’t stop for over 20 years.

To try and best understand this issue, I have generally come back to two points. First of all, you aren't going to meet common ground when the two sides are talking about two different things.
Where there is no "common ground," you must simply formulate a compromise that both sides are willing to accept ... and both sides must undertake to LIVE WITH that compromise, rather than constantly looking for ways to undermine it.
At this point, neither side trusts the other to RESPECT a reasonable compromise, because both sides have already announced that they would honor a compromise only until they have the strength to force the other side into something they like better.

quote:Following upon the earlier post, what I find is that supporters of abortion rights tend to focus upon "rights" as related to abortion, while their opponents see abortion in terms of "morality," because they have pre-decided that a fetus has rights of some sort. Where you find VAST differences amongst the supporters of abortion rights is in defining the appropriate point at which rights should vest.
Aggie Hank was prominent in those threads as well. Based on what recall, I would Hank would argue that the baby lacks sentience.

Personally, I see "morality" as having no important role in this analysis, because morality is inherently subjective. On some points, you and I may agree as to whether a given action is "moral," while we will disagree on others. I am VERY MUCH one who believes that maximizing objectivity is the key to a successful social system. It is the ONLY reason that my abortion analysis is based upon "rights" rather than "morality."
You are correct. I do not see an early-term fetus as having attained sentience, and I see absolutely no justification for vesting legal rights in a non-sentient organism.
With that being said, growing up and living an a ranch, many times I have had to "put down" living, non-sentient creatures, ranging from animals that I hunted to eat though sick cattle and beloved pets. I have NEVER done so in anything but the least-painful and least-stressful manner available to me. Killing ANY living creature should be handled that way.
The idea that she is ABLE to "cut vocal cords" ("chords," seriously? Is the fetus singing or playing a tiny guitar?) seems unlikely. Not sure exactly what she is actually doing, but This woman's actions seem unnecessary and perhaps even capricious. I decidedly do not approve.

She should be hanged from a tree by her ankles until she either dies of thirst or dies of something else first.

Thanks for the response.
FWIW
is how I view an abortion in the VAST majority of instances.
