Oh, also...allow them to pump carbon in the ground near your home without knowing the long-term effects or else you hate the planet!
The equivalent of a doctor filtering mild toxins from the air so you can't breathe them, only to "dispose" of them by injecting them straight into your bloodstream.

That volcano better get in line and pay the carbon foot print tax, and toss in some reparations for good measure

Somewhere right now there is a recent women's studies grad working for CNN madly typing up a byline on how Volcanos impact black and trans people

Climate global warming ice age acid rain change.

But - here's the "out"-
"Climate scientists are now discovering that climate change is causing more frequent volcanic activity".
Geographic activity as a whole will pick up as the pole shift progresses. As the earth's magnetic shield weakens, solar energy has a higher impact on the earth's core and will trigger more eruptions and likely earthquakes.

Meh.... they just sell a few more carbon credits and all is good.

If we genocide every last cow on earth and everyone eats only veggies for the next 1000 years, we could offset this release.

Send Al Gore into the lava chamber to chastise that bigot bastard volcano.

It was obviously a little hyperbole, but since you asked here are the number.

Exxon needs to lease some more injection acres now.
What a fricking scam! And…Landry is giddy about it.

Since Hawaii is now taxing tourists for climate change.....why havent some tourist orgs sued them for their volcano erupting there last week?

...does in a decade
What are the numbers? How much was released?
Edit: I see now this thread was hyperbole as one figure is in billions and one is in millions so they're not even relatively close. We produce way more carbon than a single volcano eruption.. especially in a decade...

It was obviously a little hyperbole, but since you asked, Mt Etna releases more carbon over a few weeks when it is erupting by far compared to American manufacturing
According to those numbers - Mt. Etna during eruption is 200k metric tons/day (high end); US manufacturing is >3.8 million metric tons/day (baseline).
