No, what we will call FAFO is what the Republicans will do in response to Virginia, since Dems have now maxxed out all their gerrymandering to try and rig elections in their favor. Now, it's on. Florida on deck! Btich.

I think that’s exactly what VA just did.
And Florida will be next... and liberal figs like you will cry.

Just temporarily ignore the constitution of the commonwealth.
It is a shame that you are that void of respect for legitimate representation.

The difference, clearly, is that in ever example where Republicans are "doing this," the maps make sense geographically. There is no comparison. The fact that you can't admit this is evidence of either absolute stupidity or absolute dishonesty.
Republicans need to START doing what Dems do when they redistrict. I 100% agree with that statement. However, they haven't done that yet and you won't be able to show otherwise.
Your link also fails to mention that many Democrat districts in red states are drawn that way because they're forced to create majority-minority districts by court edicts. The most ridiculous districts in the south are drawn that way because of court rulings. This is not the case in Democrat-controlled states.
They ripped apart Salt Lake City and Nashville, but those "make sense geographically".
You're a joke.

Wokeism has warped our language to the extent that now when I read "fair" my warning lights immediately go off.
Fair no longer means fair to all. It means biased towards some self appointed group that declares victimhood with zero facts to back it up. Just feelings, emotions, and an underlying agenda.

Yes, they do.
Here's Tennessee:
Here's Utah:
Here's Utah starting in 2027:

Now, let's contrast those against nonsensical, overly gerrymandered states.
Here's Illinois:
Here's Alabama, drawn by courts to give Democrats more seats (sorry, I mean for "racial representation"):
Don't you just love how District 2 cuts right through District 1, so that District 1 is no longer even connected to itself? They had to do that because it's the only way they could create a second majority-minority district in Alabama. Only a complete liar would claim this makes sense, but that's what Democrats do.

Temporarily adopt fairness... only to return to an unfair map in 2030?

Where does District 2 cut through District 1? They appear to be north and south. Don’t see any cutting into

You're looking at the Alabama map?
The courts cut Mobile County in half with district 2. It makes no sense. The maps the legislature drew up actually made complete sense. These are garbage that was clearly drawn solely to give Dems 2 seats instead of 1.
ETA: Here is the previous map, for comparison. The previous map also included Frankenstein District 7 solely to give Dems a seat. Now we're forced to have 2 Frankenstein districts.

I heard earlier today that it was ruled unconstitutional by the Virginia Supreme Court
Posted on 4/23/26 at 3:18 pm to Miketheseventh
I think you misheard.
It got blocked by a district judge (Hurley, Tazewell) and will get appealed to VA Supreme Court. Probably start next week.
Given they’ve already smacked down this judge on this issue twice, it’s really unlikely to go Rs way.
New VA maps will stick, is what it is.

This is why you are not allowed to ask leading questions of a witness in court. You are suggesting that they respond a certain way.
