There is a mathematician, who created an entire branch of mathematics, who was under the impression he could use magic to change lead into gold. Brilliant people can have stupid ideas.

there are millions of phd's in the us alone

Millions of PhDs? Yes, but that would be on any subject. Around 2% of the population has a PhD (not including MDs & JDs) so that would be around 6.5 million people in the USA. Out of that I can't imagine more than 2% earned a PhD in Evolutionary Biology. There are just so many other fields. There are probably no more than 150,000 people with an Evolutionary Biology PhD in the USA. And that's an extremly generous estimate.

PhD in Evolutionary Biology

Why is that only a requirement on one side? There are PhDs on that list who studied electrical engineering, mathematics, computer science, civil engineering, and nutrition.

What makes someone qualified to speak on a subject? Expertise in that subject. Everyone has on opinion there is no requirement
There is no "side" in a scientific arguement that has merit without experts in the field

ok great none of those are about biology which is the area of science this is involved with. There's a huge range on that list with plenty of geology, aerospace engineering, and food scientist PhDs in there too. Seems like almost all branches of science are covered with a lot in Biology discriplines. I didn't go through the whole list but i bet there were some evolutionary biologists on there as well but I did not see any. Science is broad and expertise in one subject does not equate to expertise in another. If it did zoologists would be designing aerospace equipment but it doesn't work that way. So saying 1,000 PhD scientists disagree with a theory doesn't mean all that much unless they are experts in that field.

But millions of barely educated Southern Baptists that keep on asking why monkeys are still around clearly aren’t wrong. It’s not that they’re a bunch of idiots, because they’re barely educated, but they know more than doctors. It’s the same as antivaxers. I heard something from a failed cultist who has a spotty background that involved prostitution, so it must be true.

Right, which was part of the point in the post you originally replied to.

Eh, skepticism and a sense of wonder are healthy. You should never totally trust the status quo.

Right but ID is a way to connect the idea of God to evolution. ID says God started life and designed it in a way to allow for natural selection to yield humans and the variety of life on Earth.

The only ones really debating evolution are the young earth types.

are you under the impression that these tribes used to be modern and somehow reverted a few hundred years ago? Good fricking God man

Wow, you look foolish yet again. Not at all what I was saying. I was specifically referring to the Sentinelese. Who live on a secluded island and try to kill most foreigners. Yet somehow have been documented in just the last 150 years to have made weapons of iron, housing with hipped roofs, canoes, etc.

And yet you want me to believe that humans on large continents, interacting with one another slept on the ground and only used sticks and rocks for 250,000 years. 250,000 YEARS?

Good fricking God man there is no way you believe that. Its almost as absurd as people who believe there was a creative force. Well, actually more unbelievable.

If your basic needs weren't met,

What a joke

For 250,000 years they barely could feed themselves, yet they had the exact same brain power on Dec 31st of the Stone age, that they did on Jan 1st of the Bronze age. But somehow had no time for self-improvement, or hadn't figured out how to feed themselves for 250,000 years. TWO HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND

How do you tie your shoes in the morning? There is no fricking way that you believe Homo Sapiens had sufficient enough population NOT to go extinct, yet 'survived' daily for 250,000 YEARS

Unbelievable the gymnastics you evolutionists go through to shoehorn your theories together
