A really stupid trope/take that gets repeated regarding Trump support

Person A complains about something Trump does and mentions how he it is screwing up the mid terms or just in general it’s bad policy
Person B chimes in, “so what are you going to vote Democrat!”
Person A responds: No idiot, but there millions of fence riders who might.
It’s not poli-nerds on a message board you need to worry about. Highly engaged people show up to vote in mid terms. But what are they doing to get low prop voters to show up.
Whether you like it or not, if Trump spends his last 2 years as a lame duck dealing with weekly impeachments, his entire term is a failure and a waste. There will be no legacy to show for any of it. Name one “sticky” and lasting policy that we will be able to look back on in 10 years saying good thing he did that? Especially if Dems take the reigns for the next 5-10 years

It is what it is. If you expect perfection all the time and everything you want, when you want it from a President, good luck finding your dream candidate.

Um...pretty much everything he's done except the BBB was done by EO anyway, and there's no indication that Congress is going to get involved in any of it.
It's all going away the next Democrat presidency anyway no matter what happens in the midterms.

Well said. The argument is has nothing to do with Kamala or democrats. The complaint is based on Trump 2.0 being a total disaster. No one can honestly say they are getting what they voted for unless you are a Democrat that voted for Trump.

I’m extremely disappointed with this second term but that doesn’t mean I will start voting for Democrats with one exception.
My current congresswomen is a Democrat but her main challenger is a Socialist. The Republican has no name recognition so I may have to vote for the old bad Dem to keep the younger worse Dem out of Congress. This decision has nothing to do with the President.

Your concern is noted and I have to think that the guy who put together a political team capable of electing the first and only true outsider I've ever seen to the White House understands this as well.

As far as I'm concerned, Trump is doing everything I voted for him to do. I don't cry about Jews and higher gas prices for a few months tho. I guess if I obsessed about hating either of those I might be upset with him right now based on all the TDS rhetoric out there among the woke left and woke right.
