A Couple of Non-Woke Moments from Woke-y-o Olympcs

First, America's badass swim team, who features non vaccine takers ( LINK, sings America the Beautiful ( LINK) to warm up, and is genuinely non-woke and likable had a nice moment last night when 17 year old Lydia Jacoby, from Alaska won gold in the 100 breaststroke ( LINK), shocking the two best breaststrokers in the world.
There is only one Olympic size pool in the state of Alaska, and here is a teenager rocking it at the Olympics. She graduated high school a month ago and her classmates gathered to cheer her on. Watch her classmates and hometown in this reaction video. ( LINK)
Population of Seward, Alaska? Just 2,773.
Non-USA, but the Philippines has their first gold medal in history after 100 years of trying.
Hidilyn Diaz won gold in weightlifting. Look at her reaction for the pride in our country and her salute on the medal stand. Not very woke to be proud of your country.

Tears.
So proud this young lady still respects this country and its flag. Kudos to her teammates and all the rest of the athletes who know this moment is not about them and their personal agendas.

I resemble that remark.

97, but who is counting, right?

Meanwhile, ladie's team sports have disappointed based on their pre-Olympic hype. Favored women's gymnastic team loses gold to Russia. Favored softball team loses gold to Japan. Favored soccer team kissed their sister with Australia with the game ending 0-0.

US Women's Soccer qualifies for knockout round on goal differential.
Right now, the standings for the knockout round are
1. Sweden
2. Netherlands
3. Great Britain
4. Brazil
5. Canada
6. United States
7. Japan
8. Australia
Canada and Brazil switch if Brazil loses or ties their final match against Zambia (unlikely).
Team Megan Rapinone going to get shut out of a medal altogether, or win bronze. Netherlands is going to kick their shite in.

To be honest, the USA needed an arse kicking.
It's become a bit of a foregone conclusion that many of these medals are gold, or easy.
Everyone else in the world wants to win too.
Do we have the most talent and potential in most of these events? Probably.
But, you've got to have the pride, hunger, and work effort to win.
That's why you're seeing the swimmers maintain their advantage.
And maybe why women's soccer not so much.

Don't think they're on pace to match '12 or '16 but they are very, very young. They should be very strong in '24

No country comes close to what the US spends in women's athletics. They should dominate along with the softball team but the Soccer team made their own bed and can lie in it.The less publicity they get the better.

Our shooters are doing well... two gold in skeet and one in air rifle last I looked...
Of course, they tend to be ugh focused and "conservative" in their views and they play with guns, so they don't get much coverage from the media...

The girl from the Philippines, that is so awesome.
I can’t imagine how much pride she has in her country. All her hard work and sacrifices . To hear her anthem being played as you hold the gold medal, I’m emotional thinking about it .

Someone was saying two of the women's soccer starters are in their late 30's.
Sounds like they aren't there for their talent.

The video of everyone watching in Seward was absolutely great. If that doesn’t give you chills or bring a huge smile to your face you are already dead.

No way!!
I have read and watched over and over how mistreated our women athletes are. So mistreated in fact, that men are allowed to dress up like women and take their place so they don't have to remain mistreated.

Cheering for the un-American women's soccer team to be knocked OUT so they can't do some un-American BS at award ceremony.
Also glad the NBC network has the lowest TV viewership of Olympics in 30 years.

"This country" "Its flag". Reading is fundamental dipshit. Do not assume others are as biased and ignorant as you and your cult.
