Propaganda.

This isn't even science at this point. Look how skeptics are treated. Branded heretics and banished from the community. That's the opposite of science. It's religious dogma.

Great link, everyone should watch that that would like to expand their mind a bit. Also, the "study" and i use the term loosely, has been shown to be more faulty than Mann's hockey stick.

Most of these “scientists” are climate change activists. That is why they enter that field in the first place.

I guess that means only 3% of scientists are above average intelligence. That is the most depressing thing about that statement.

When that particular stat was thrown about, someone did some research and found that they included veterinarians and podiatrists in that number.

As with most of the "facts" bandied about by the Cult of ManBearPig, it's a combination of 10% reality wrapped inside 90% bullzhit.

What’s ironic is people dismissing it, yet they don’t offer anything scientific to base their position.

Hey. I’m not sure either but I’m not going to “My arse!” it unless I truly know. Doubting is one thing, making blowhard/ignorant counter angles for the sake of being a dumbass is equally bad.

Fair enough.

How would you describe how the "97% consensus" and the MSM deal with skeptics - legitimate skeptics, not just folks like me who call bullshite?

Would you say they are treated fairly, with respect? Or figuratively tarred and feathered, run out of town on a rail?

How about the fact that measured atmospheric CO2 levels have INCREASED from 250 ppm pre-industrial revolution to 430 ppm today. That's about a 70% increase in this planet-warming gas, and it didn't just appear out of thin air.

This explains it...

American Thinker

quote:

Warmists often cite the “97-percent consensus” that manmade climate change is true and “settled.” This claim stems from a single study of article abstracts dealing with climate. The study suffers from a number of serious method flaws and has been roundly debunked. A more reasonable conclusion from the study is that 3% of the abstracts support manmade warming, not 97%.

Come to Southern California during a drought and see if you are still of the same opinion.

The problem with California and droughts is that most of California would be a desert if left alone. But it takes enormous amounts of water to irrigate areas that people want to use as farmland.

There will always be a problem when man builds in an area that probably should not be built on. Like parts of New Orleans. Who had the bright idea to build stuff below sea level (or right at sea level)?
