9/11 hijackers were CIA recruits

At least two 9/11 hijackers had been recruited into a joint CIA-Saudi intelligence operation that was covered up at the highest level, according to an explosive new court filing.
A newly-released court filing raises grave questions about the relationship between Alec Station, a CIA unit set up to track Al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden and his associates, and two 9/11 hijackers leading up to the attacks, which was subject to a coverup at the highest levels of the FBI.

That would be the least surprising news ever. I seem to remember some reporting back in the day that the Florida flight school was very fishy. I think Jeb flew away with a bunch of documents.

This is the type of CIA conspiracy for 9/11 I always thought was possible if not likely. Not that the CIA was fundamentally involved in the planning or execution of an attack, but that there was connection between the agency and the terrorists in a meaningful sense.
In fact, I'll have to find it, but some former operations officer wrote a novel 10+ years ago centering on 9/11 and an intelligence operation after the fact to track down an item, which turned out to be a photograph of OBL with an operation officer from the 90s, I think. I always thought that was a bit on the nose for pure fiction.
FWIW if anyone wants to go down this wormhole, the podcast/transcript for "Who is Rich Blee" ( LINK) will provide you lots of background for the turf war that set this up beginning with the Kuala Lumpur meet and withholding the passport/visa photocopy of Khalid al-Mihdhar from the FBI.

I took a lot of shite back in the day for saying this was an inside job. It was shortly after this all happened that I realized W was no different from Bill Clinton. Republicans and Democrats are the same thing.

They're not even close to the same thing. They do indeed share some of the very bad deep state traits, they both are all about power, and they're both worthless, but democrats are philosophically evil at the core. Republicans are on the take, but don't necessarily want you exterminated like the communists do
