It’s good to see you back to being a contrarian with a loose grasp of the facts.

Your point is taken but irrelevant to this discussion. It is explicitly addressing how many people reported to be immune versus how many people are observed to be immune.

Broken down, the unvaccinated and not previously infected 12+ years old are 48million people or 14.6% of the population.
You do have 35million under 12 that are unvaxxed and have not been infected either. But, their number of cases per 100k is much lower.
If you count the naturally immune to the fully vaxxed, we are about to cross the 75% threshhold.

What percentage of these people are admitted for reasons other than Covid/Covid type symptoms, then test positive for the virus so now a CV19 hospitalization? This is happening, but there's never an indication of how frequent it is.

It's stunning to me more people aren't understanding these simple numbers.

I asked a question. Evidently you can't answer it. No shame in that, or you could have just not responded to my question.
As for the stunningly successful vaccine. I think the real debate is if people that don't really need to be vaccinated should be vaccinated because the vaccine is "stunningly successful". I don't think many argue that people at risk from the virus shouldn't be vaccinated.

Shrug. Maybe, I didn’t really take it that way
Response to covid has been fricked 6 ways to Sunday. It’s more productive at this point to continue to shed light on the governments deficiencies while highlighting the good vaccines have done and can do.
Granted, lately all I’ve done is call people “fricking stupid” so I don’t have a lot of room to talk.

In any event, I just want shite to go back to normal - and it will not when this stuff keeps happening. The fantasy that the vaccines are actually toxic (more toxic than the actual virus!) is silly and counterproductive.

Again, the goal is to get this down to a flu-level of impact. We accept tens of thousands of flu deaths per year and have never even considered not having a Super Bowl because of it.
I also blame the unvaxxed for spreading crazy conspiracy theories about the vaccines.
To be clear: I want no part whatsoever in defending the CDC and/or WHO. The messaging has been HORRIFIC.
But that does not give us cover to just pretend that the vaccines aren't working to a stunning degree.
I've said before that the rushed rollout likely has impacted what will ultimately be the actual prescription for the vaccines. We basically already know that taking 2 doses close together is not optimal. I suspect that several years from now, it'll be like: take 3 doses, 9-12 months apart.

Well, if that’s what you suspect that’s probably going to be the case.

You may have quickly forgotten that the President of the United States looked into the camera just a month ago and stated quite clearly, “You’re not going to get COVID if you have these vaccinations.”
Are you lying? Or will you acknowledge that the science behind this is primarily political science? And you clearly prefer pushing the political science over truth.

The rates mirror the society they're in.
ICUs in Israel are 70% vaccinated
In Baton Rouge it's 30%.
So you're blaming someone for nothing.

What we do know is that in areas of high vaccination, acuity is low.
