It was obviously illegitimate but it doesn't matter. Even if they had proven it by every metric possible, do you think it would have changed anything?

Maybe they're waiting for the supporters of the party leader to answer first.
But they also have the most recent elections to consider. DeSantis took action in '20 and '21 to make sure he wasn't cheated in 2022.
