The thing about them is they don't offer enough protection between one subway and the next one. Too close together leads to franchise oversaturation.

There’s Subway in Arabi, Chalmette Walmart, Village Square, Paris Rd, and in Meraux

That’s bullshite article. Chipotle isn’t going anywhere. Look at their earnings. They were crushing it quarter after quarter.

I hate Starbucks as much as anybody, but they aren’t going anywhere either.

Some of those chains are in trouble for sure. But they are obvious.

Biden’s America in full swing.

60+ upvotes when literally everything in the article happened prior to Biden talking office. Not sure anyone needs to give "responses, deflections, and down-plays" when the article has nothing to do with the last 9 months.

Some examples from the article:

quote:

However, over time, the restaurant chain has seen sales decline and not really pick back up. So far, Applebees

quote:

However, slowly but surely, the hype about the brand died down. Bloomin' Brands decided to slowly start closing down location after location based on performance, which included several Bonefish Grill and Outback Steakhouse locations as well. In 2020, another 43 of their locations will close.

Ruby Tuesdays

quote:

Over the last decade, the chain closed many of its locations, 76 of them between 2018 and 2020.

Krystal

quote:

In January 2020, the chain filed for bankruptcy as a result of their $50 - $100 million debt.

This filing was in Jan 2020

quote:

The former owner of Houlihan's, HRI Holding Corp, filed for bankruptcy in 2019.

Friendly's

The ones with liquor licenses will survive. Others, not so much.

Many on that list have been taking on water for years and was just a matter of time before they capsized.

Hooters
It is not a huge surprise that the chain has seen better days. In the age of female empowerment, the tiny outfits do nothing to help their cause. Hooters has experienced a slow and steady decline over the last decade.

No. "Female empowerment" has nothing to to with this. Hooter's just hires unattractive women. The last few times I've been in one of these the waitress was either fat or looked like a meth whore.

I don't believe I would have told that. You ate at Hooter's more than once? The next time I eat there will be my 1st.

I was the junior CPO in my command, so I was always dragged to Hooters or Twin Peaks on drill weekends. My going to these places wasn't by choice.

Are strip clubs shutting down due to female empowerment?

Hooters is little more than a bikini bar that sells wings.

Don’t worry. Taco Bell wins the franchise wars and is the last chain standing by 2032. It has been written.
