4,000 more people lose Medicaid coverage in Arkansas

According to numbers released by the state on Monday, 4,109 Medicaid beneficiaries were removed from the program in October.
Under the Arkansas program, beneficiaries subject to the requirement who don't meet it for three months in one year lose their benefits.
Arkansas removed 4,353 individuals from the Medicaid program last month, bringing the total number of people who have lost coverage under the state's new work requirements program to nearly 8,500.
Under the Arkansas program, Medicaid beneficiaries who aren't exempt from the work requirements must work at least 80 hours a month. Other activities, like education and training, volunteering and searching for a job, can count toward the 80 hour requirement.
The state's data shows the vast majority of people who have lost their coverage aren't filing reports with the state.
Of the 16,757 people who didn't meet the requirement in September, only 222 people filed reports. LINK

The first part can be easily met by going to a temp labor firm. With the others (which anyone going to college or vocational school meets easily and the others aren't that hard to do) there is no reason why somebody had to lose coverage, except for laziness (either by not filing the paperwork or sleeping in).

How many of them died as a result of their removal?

Maybe they need to apply for staff jobs with the Arky football team.
Not like they could get much worse by hiring welfare cases.

Why do you hate people with special needs. They needed Medicaid and you killed them.
Damn it really takes no effort and no thought to be liberal filth.
I need to think how to use this to make money.

It looks like Arkansas is on to something. Require the bums to complete a few easy steps, knowing most will not.

Quite ingenious, actually. They removed the top of an old, empty septic tank and parked the trailer over it. Cut a hole in the floor, put a ladder down, and there's your basement.

Yep. I've been keeping up with this story over time. Basically it says you can't sit home on your arse and get Medicaid. There are exemptions. I'd like to give a big to our Republican governor and state Republican congress for saving us taxpayers some money.

I’ve been to the doctor maybe 3 times this year. Twice for a sinus cocktail and once for a virus I picked up traveling.
If healthcare is costing you that much more maybe you should consider not sitting in your moms basement all day eating Cheetos and take better care of yourself.
Cut them benefits and cut my taxes.

Medicaid isn’t gonna pay for your transition surgery? I’m outraged for you

Will help the State balance the Books, and operate within lawful mandates. But in the big scheme of money...they'll go to emergency rooms and it'll cost more.
