Some kid tried to grab a cops gun and shoot him during his first election. It's really more like the 4th attempt.
My opinion is these were not "touted" because these were the data points that led them to the idea of degrading his security. Knowing these people were taking actionable attempts but were being intercepted is the cause of the degraded security. And it worked with Crooks. One of the questions I've had all along was not what were the security lapses with Crooks (it is obvious) but how long and how many rallies have those security lapses existed prior to Crooks. When did the lapses appear. Same time SS started intercepting other assassins? Same time the Tajiks were caught (acting on behalf of Iran)?
