So the alternative is to not support republicans because democrats brought in highest gas and food prices? You’re real bright.

When Congress can't control it's spending, the crush from the debt becomes Thanos.

We all love to bitch about the Fed, but they are in a damned if you do/don't place.

If they cut rates, the continued $1.5T+ deficits each year drive inflation up, eventually escalating into hyper-inflation (because government's answer to economic woes is to increase spending).

If they keep rates at current level, eventually inflation keeps up as Congress keeps increasing the problem with the massive deficit spending.

If they raise rates, they risk a recession. If we get a recession, it becomes more and more probably the consumer debt bubble pops the longer and deeper the recession goes. If the consumer debt bubble pops, we may well go into another depression as something like 100M Americans carry over $1k or more each month on their credit card debts and many of them will then lose access to debt for purchases as they declare bankruptcy (walking away from that debt like people did with mortgages in the GFC).

And, again, the government will attempt to fix the problem by spending even more in deficit which will exacerbate the problem. When they can't, there will be riots as benefit programs start getting cut back and possibly shut off.

Democrats are in the White House right now? It's ok to admit to Trump's failures. You won't have to give back your Trump crypto, Trump bible, Trump watch, or Trump sneakers. You can keep them.

He forgets gas with inflation was higher under the last admin than it is now. But that’s why he’s gonna stay home and not vote.

I still think the Fed needs to be more aggressive on inflation. Especially with unemployment as low as it is. I get a lot of the employment figures in particular and the economy in general is being propped up by debt and therefore not as strong as numbers indicate, but I would rather enter a recession with inflation under 2.5%, for example, then sitting close to 4% or more.

But, I think we all agree that all of this is rearranging the deck chairs. Nothing will really change until there is real fiscal reform. We either do it by choice, or it is forced down our throats.

He spent 4yrs crying about OMB and how he would never win. Never complained about 21% inflation, $8 gas and 9% rates yet hes non stop bitching like a karen now

8.5%+ mortgage rates, $5 gasoline, high grocery prices, inflation, etc were bad under Biden just like they are Trump. I would have added War but even Biden wasn't stupid enough to give us that. There is very little to no difference on these metrics between Biden and Trump 2.0.

Trump told us he would lower all these things and he has failed. Miserably.

It’s at 7.4 and just raised a quarter of a point. It’s not been over 8 during this administration
