His "schtick" being invited people to calmly debate before giving them door prizes? Yeah, what a CANCER.

I’m not saying it’s wrong, but I believe it was for entertainment purposes.

You are acting like my wife, interpreting as your emotional state dictates

What's your evidence that it was for "entertainment purposes"? I mean, I suppose that's narrowly true in that a good way to get people to join your movement is to entertain them and not bore them.

But where in Kirk's body of work do you detect he wasn't sincere in his attempt to build an organization that would have the end result of generating voters that were likely to vote for candidates promoting his policy preferences?

What evidence do you have that his policy preferences weren't largely consistent over time?

It’s my personal belief.
I didn’t know who he was before he was murdered.
Watching his stuff after, it seemed like most media today, which is dictated by getting clicks

Oh, I see. Like your wife, it's "your truth".

You have myriad written and spoken pieces from/by Kirk with which to acquaint yourself with his work. My contention - having paid attention to them - is that he was consistent over time.

And his organization was about more than "clicks". It was a legitimate, grassroots political motivation organization. The point wasn't to "get clicks". The point, rather, was to get young people involved enough to vote...again, in the direction he consistently argued for.

Funny thing is...they are too stupid to know that if they did kill all the capitalists they would be left with only themselves....and they are constitutionally incapable of producing anything necessary for them to live and thrive....liberals are 100% delusional retards

Please explain how "both sides" are to blame for what just happened?

Be specific.

Kirk tried to engage honestly with a bunch of people that hated him every time he went on a college campus. He tried to treat people with respect and present people with facts who had never heard another side of the debate. He convinced a lot of people to vote and changed a lot of young people’s minds. A person who shares your progressive beliefs murdered him because of that. No counter argument, no exchange of ideas…. Just violence and murder because the progressive point of view is indefensible

Not saying both sides are to blame for attempt on the president.

Both sides are to blame for the current polarized state we are in. You guys come to this board and spew hate day in and day out.

You are blaming an entire party, roughly half the county for the actions of a handful of individuals. You know that’s not reasonable or honest or helpful to anything.

90% of you will go about your day tomorrow, coexisting peacefully with democrats, maybe at work, or in a grocery store or elsewhere. Thats real. This forum and twitter are not .

Why come on here and be unreasonable? Both sides need to step up. No one is even considering the mental heath crisis that is getting worse.

I had not problem with the guy. May not have completely agreed with his opinions, but he should have been allowed to share his opinions freely in whatever forum he chose.
