Happens all the time….
Patrick Torrey, 22, a basketball player at St. Ambrose University (SAU), died suddenly on November 19th, 2022, and his loss has left his friends and family in despair.
Patrick Torrey was a senior at St. Ambrose University, where he studied psychology. Patrick was a leader on and off the court, scoring 274 points and grabbing 235 rebounds throughout his basketball career at SAU.
“My cousin Tricia Torrey unexpectedly lost her only son Patrick Torrey last Saturday, November 19th,” Patrick’s aunt, Tricia Wilkins, wrote on the GoFundMe page she set up on Thanksgiving.
She continued, “Patrick was only 22 years old and leaves behind his mother Tricia, his father Tadd, and his sisters Christy and Olivia. If you knew Patrick then you knew what an amazing young man he was and how his short time here impacted so many. He was a senior at St Ambrose University in Davenport Iowa where he studied psychology and played basketball, a sport that was near and dear to his heart.”
“The family is of course shocked, saddened and completely devastated by this loss. We would like to help with some of the financial burden as they take time off work and prepare services for Patrick.
“If you can help with any amount possible please consider giving to the family. If you are unable to help financially your prayers would also be greatly appreciated. This is never an easy time for families going through what the Torrey family is and please know all your prayers, calls, and texts are so invaluable.”
Patrick’s cause of death is unknown at this time.

How do you know he was vaxxed?
Does he have a family history of this
You don't know all the circumstances
This happens all the time, we're just now paying attention
Does he drink a lot of energy drinks
... Have I covered all the dem talking points yet?

Government and big business did this.
I hope they reap what the Sow and it comes back to them 100 times worse.

Was he jabbed?
Not sure what the policy was a year ago, but I don’t think the Covid vaccine is even on their recommended vaccine list.

I don’t recall young and healthy athletes suddenly dying on a weekly basis.
What once was a rare tragedy is now becoming normalized.
And everyone knows it.

Why is it in these threads nobody EVER offers up a comparative baseline? It's just casually asserted that there has been an increase - with zero evidence of any kind.

My bad… they don’t have anything about protocols of previous years.

I have on multiple occasions offered pre-Covid baselines.
All-cause mortality in Q1 of 2022 (that’s the most recent CDC provisional mortality data) is up ~30% in ages 15-34 versus pre-Covid.

Of course it has… bc now so many are suddenly dying.
Yes, people have posted plenty evidence in the increase of death rates of ages 15-34 but you can pretend to have not noticed.
We know… everyone knows.

There’s not even a recommendation to get the Covid vaccine.
Covid vaxx policy would likely be dictated by their league and division (NCAA D2, NAIA, for example).
My son stopped playing college basketball with a year of eligibility left because he wasn’t vaxxed, and that meant that if anybody on the team was exposed to the virus, he had to sit down for ten days. This was the fall of last year - first 5 weeks of the season and he participated in a total of 6 practices. So he just went to work (finished an MBA that December).
