Defensive?

Nah. I just don't see how it could affect anyone in this particular election.

No one could ever convince me to vote for Hillary.

Of course a handful of idiots were influenced. Just like how millions of dumbasses voted Hillary because democrats and msm convinced them that trump is literally hitler.

I'm for all propaganda being abolished. If it is, though. democrats will never win another election, anywhere.

Censor viewpoints with which the current progressive consensus does not agree, obviously. It's our patriotic duty as Americans.

Out of probably a billion tweets that were made during the election.

quote:

It pisses me off to read these tweets. You can clearly see the Russians MO. Create doubt, hatred and division.

That's why Russia let their left wing pawns like Ed Schultz have their own program on RT.

Indeed.

I heard Trump has demanded that Twitter give the Russians access to their latte bar.

Seriously. These idiots are running around acting like social media posts from other countries are some kind of catastrophic thing

Good fricking Lord people. When are you living because this is 2018 in case you didn't know. People from all over the world can post on social media and they do and a lot of them have opinions regarding our politics. That's the nature of the beast when you're a world power

And just like the people inside the United States not all of them are well acquainted with facts or even concerned with facts.

Do the people whining about this not realize how stalinist they sound? The bottom line is the voters are free to choose who they want no matter what information they read that leads into that vote. That's how our nation has worked since the beginning. And guess what? Since the beginning there has always been people trying to manipulate the voters. There's really no functional difference between manipulating them from inside or manipulating them from outside the United States it's still manipulation.

I guess you could solve that but you'll have to forgive me for not wanting to go down that road. I rather prefer our form of government to one that Shields people from thoughts it deems inappropriate to see

These accounts, working in concert as part of large networks, pushed hundreds of thousands of inflammatory tweets, from fictitious tales of Democrats practicing witchcraft to hardline posts from users masquerading as Black Lives Matter activists.

Holy shite! They hacked your account. Don't you post as a BLM activist?

Russia has been trying to influence US elections ever since the end of WW2.

They just didn't have the internet to do it.

It does. Too bad the media won’t focus on it, and instead has spent a year+ conflating the entire issue by trying to make the issue about Trump/Russia “collusion” instead

Now the issue is too muddled and divisive, thanks media

The ones about the Russians masquerading as black lives matter activists amuses me

Hey liberals. Here's a clue. You know why acting crazy and black on the internet works? Because you don't look out of place.

Masquerading as an insane racist black person these days is about as hard as masquerading as a redneck at a Nascar event. You just sort of blend in with all of the legit rednecks

I have a suggestion on how to make the Russian fake BLM people stand out but that would require sanity from the left

It doesn't have to be. Hell, even ex Republican poster boy Trey Gowdy has spelled out the truth to your base:

quote:

South Carolina Republican Rep. Trey Gowdy said the recently released, controversial GOP memo alleging FBI abuses of its surveillance authority does not have "any impact on the Russia probe," and even without the Steele dossier, there would be a Russia investigation. "There is a Russia investigation without a dossier," Gowdy said in an interview that aired Sunday on CBS's "Face the Nation," days after he announced his decision not to seek re-election.
