I absolutely believe Putin would want Trump over Clinton. For sheer spite from our interference in their 2011 elections (and BREXIT and the Israeli elections as well). And yet we have the gall to get upset that he potentially struck back. It is hilarious.
Good points. Putin has his own agenda and he certainly wasn't going to take our interference lying down. However, it completely baffles me that there are people who still deny that Russia tried to interfere in our election. To deny that Russia tried to interfere shows complete ignorance.

Most people vote how their parents taught them growing up. Any political scientist will tell you this.
The few undecideds probably decided based on spousal preference or the debates. Maybe a small number decided based on a commercial or media coverage.
The number of undecideds swayed by foreign tweets is likely very, very small. Hillary needed about 80,000 more votes in PA, MI, and WI to win. I can't imagine a Tiger Stadium full of people who would've voted Hillary if not for some tweet they came across online
My guess is more people were influenced by Apple pushing left-wing "news" as the default setting on millions of iPhones.

Will they erase voter registration records for people who they feel won't be voting the way they'd like? Perhaps. Or, as they did in North Carolina and Dallas, just screw up voting machines in precincts they don't like?

Changing actual votes or preventing voting is worthy of my attention. Getting Bent out of shape over social media posts on the other hand is unintelligent claptrap

I frankly don't know how that would even be possible. The known BLM odds pretty fricking awful
On the other side, posts by white nationalist' groups can be fricking hideous as well. I'm sure a BLM supporter could create a fake white nationalist account and take an even more extreme stance on divisive issues.
shite just goes around.

Seriously? Everywhere. It's all over this board, as well. Trump won't address it and still says Russia didn't try to interfere.
I'm not talking Trump/Russia collusion, just basic acknowledgement that Russia tried to interfere.

Absolutely.
That's what identity politics is all about.

It doesn't pass the common-sense test. IF Russia decided for whatever reason they wanted Trump over Hillary, social media seems like a lightweight move.
This article is about Twitter, but only about 20% of American adults use Twitter. The vast, vast majority of that 20% (like any cross-section of American adults) made their minds up a long time ago whether they like Hillary Clinton or not.
Get back to me if you find that Russians hacked the voting machines. Outside of that, or drugging a candidate before a debate, this all seems like small potatoes.

It's hard to link something our President will not comment on. Nevermind the fact that all of his intelligence agencies have confirmed this.
Why don't you link where he has admitted that Russia attempted to interfere in our election?
Posted on 2/14/18 at 3:38 pm to JimboFisherAM
You say he specifically said they didn't try. I'm not asking you to prove a negative, just that affirmative statement that I'm thinking you made up out of thin air.

Small potatoes add up in an election that was decided by less than 3 million votes. And it wasn't just twitter- hell, you couldn't log onto Facebook without seeing some bullshite link that your far right cousin or stranger was sending you.
It isn't harmless.

I'm confused and your posts don't have much beef to them. I can't follow your question.
He's offered countless denials, so I'll just pick the most common one:

Ok, so link me to a study that shows that tweets or FB posts actually change a person's voting preference. You're ignoring the basic point that the vast majority of people had their minds made up.
Think about it this way: Let's imagine a study was done that actually proved me wrong; ie, tweets, posts, and headlines actually do change people's votes. If that were the case, Hillary would have won 538-0 because every person with an iPhone was getting pro-Hillary, anti-Trump "news" pushed into their phones constantly.

That doesn't address your specific assertion.
I agree, though. You certainly seem confused, and I suppose that's more generous than saying you're lying.

That isn't true. I didn't receive Pro Hillary stories. That would have been spit shining a turd. I did, however, receive tons of Anti Trump stories.
As far as people having their minds changed, I think the final weeks of the election swung when Comey reannounced the FBI was investigating Clinton. Once that happened, there were incessant stories on social media and I truly think people couldn't discern truth from bullshite.

Bull
shite.
The left is constantly conflating attempts to influence, with interference, with outright collusion. The definition morphs whenever its convenient.
No one is under the impression that other nations do not try to influence our political process. No one is under the impression that the influence is limited to Russia. And no honest conservative on this board is under the impression that the United States is NOT one of the worst global offenders when it comes to foreign political interference.
What's odd is, only now that you've lost an election that you thought you had in the bag, do you seem to care about shite that's been happening since the 1950's.
