quote:We absolutely need Jesus. The whole world does!
I’m so broken right now I can’t even hope for this, I think the world is too far gone,
We need Jesus
The hope for the Christian lies in Jesus. He has ascended into Heaven and rules even right now. He sees the evil going on and He will judge perfectly and righteously.
Jesus wins, because He has already conquered.
As Christ’s bride, we have been delivered from the power of sin over us, but one day we will also be delivered from the presence of it and its heartbreaking effects on us. One day we will be in glory with our Lord and all this evil will be a thing of the past for us, as it is for Charlie Kirk right now:
“And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” -Revelation 21:4

That's like saying wars and rumors of wars. When was it ever not the case?
You can generalize these passages to apply them to every age, but just like in the days of Noah, in the latter days, these things will be much more prevalent or heightened. There is always sin, but in these latter days sin is much more abundant. Just look at the things mankind would reject 30 years ago but now is mainstream, like drag queens and transgenderism. AND sin will even be a bigger problem among God's own people, and we are seeing that.
We live in a miserable, evil world that will soon see the Antichrist rise to power.

If you were a student of history you would know that this description describes just about all of recorded history.
Thou shall not know the day and the hour...
Thou shall not know the day and the hour...

Correct. I don’t think we’ve had a time in this country post civil war where the public assassination of a Christian, political commentator would literally be cheered by a large portion of one political party.
I was not alive when MLK was killed, though I presume it may have been similar to now.
What’s interesting right now is that it seems the majority of the hatred towards him revolved around his stance on homosexuality being a sin and transgenderism being a mental disorder.
These are viewed in a particularly negative light in the Bible. That, to me, evidences a particular slide in the wrong direction.
Lastly, most empires crumbled once they embraced the gay/trans/sexually immoral ideology as a norm.
There is a reason why it’s warned against repeatedly in scripture.

Exactly, see my follow-up post. Threshold not calendar date.

The signs are vague, intentionally.
People always think we're living in the end times. But we're warned, in red letters, that we will know neither the hour nor the day. So we must always be prepared, like the wise virgins waiting for the groom's arrival.

Been the "last days" since about 400 AD. Some long "last days"!
No one knows and its not meant to be deducted from scripture. I tend to believe that there is a *possibility* of better days ahead and revival

Some long "last days"!“(Quote dummy)
Not really, for Believers. Or Einstein for that matter “To the Lord, a day is as a thousand years and a thousand years as a day”.

Definitely a possibility

I read 1 Peter this am.
Recommend.
Just spot on. Nothing new under the sun.
The shame part is particularly fitting today.

Probably when Trump last left office.

Amen. Homosexuality is the only sin that God rained fire and brimstone down on. Romans 1 teaches that it is the ultimate rebellion against God.

We won't know the day nor hour BUT Jesus himself gave us the signs of the "seasons" or the end times. That is what the Olivet discourse is all about. The Disciples asked Him what would be the signs of His coming and the end of the world.

What’s a few thousand years compared to eternity?
