There’s several things at play here.
1) Organizations advocating for gay rights didn’t have a reason for being. They had no way to raise funds and a definite prognosis of death if they didn’t find a new cause celebre. Shift to tranny rights and a whole new world opens up to them.
2) Some of this is true believers. The Marxists are always going to be about the revolution. So this was a natural tack for them along with race Marxism.
