1st day of early voting in Virginia draws massive crowds

Virginia voters turned out big time for the state’s first day of early voting Friday.
The election is more than a month away but a lot of already decided voters didn’t want to wait to cast their ballots in Fairfax County. Lines at the Fairfax County Government Center were out the door.
This is N Virginia, so most likely majority dems. Let's hope red areas will do much, much better.

It is kind of crazy to think people are voting and there hasn’t even been a debate yet. I’m not surprised NOVA people are voting in big numbers and early. That area has always been very civic minded in that regard.

Fairfax county went 64-29 Clinton in 2016.

People were voting because they don't trust the USPS. I may be wrong but isn't it the Republicans that don't trust the USPS and the Dims are the ones that want mail-in voting? If that is the case, wouldn't these early voters be more Republican?

Yes, early voting has been allowed in the past, but the voter had to have very specific reasons for doing so. This is apparently the first time that anyone has been allowed to vote early.
'In past presidential elections, Virginia voters needed a reason to cast an early ballot. This year, however, anyone can vote early.'

You can tell from the pics in the article that it's a TDS heavy crowd. Fairfax is solid blue, even if Biden was caught on video murdering someone.

My county's ballot request does not have a party affiliation for the general election. I'm guessing many others are the same.
