Your quote agrees with my statement. It is the number of views.
No. It doesn’t agree at all.

It does not measure how many actually watched the interview, or how long it was watched

Yes, yes it does. What you're describing is "number of views." That has never meant "number of people who watched the video from beginning to end."
You are the one redefining terms here.

People are talking more about what counts as a view than the actual interview
There are more posts about Tom Ford on this board right now than the actual interview

It’s pretty telling.
When the 2016 debates are talked about here, policy is never the topic. It's all about when this or that person got "wrecked" with a personal insult.
It's just where we are as a nation.

It’s quite literally what’s being claimed in this very thread.
And I’m not even talking about people watching it from beginning to end. It doesn’t matter if they watched it from beginning to end or just 5 seconds. Neither of those have anything to do with the OP’s number.
You(as well as most of this board) need to understand the difference between impressions and views.
The video did not get 181 million views.

Not by me. Just because the OP doesn't know what "number of views" means doesn't mean you have to be ignorant too. ETA: I just went back to the OP and I don't see where this claim is being made. Sorry OP no insult intended.

I do understand. The number in the OP is an accurate representation of the number of views. Just because you don't understand what that means doesn't mean I don't.

According to Twitter at this point, it's now up to 195.2.

Honestly, there isn't really much to discuss about the interview. Trump's views are pretty well-documented at this point. I wouldn't characterize any of the interview as surprising.

There are about 350 million total people in the United States. I assure you over half of the United States did not watch a 45 minute interview on Twitter
Yea, twitter only works in the US.......

What will y’all do when it crosses the line of the total population of the US?

True statement, but people who hate politics are more likely to watch an interview with Trump.
Sure, but for nonpolitical reasons. By that I mean, he's a draw because he's a brand and he's been a brand for decades. There would also be those that watch because he's "their" guy or because they hate his guts.
quote:
Far more people would have watched the debate if he had attended
See above.

which is why it was a good strategy for him not to attend Him showing up could have only helped his opponents.
I agree, strategically, but as a voter I'd have preferred he be there. Of course, I'm already on record hating this entire format so I'd have preferred they ALL skip that nonsense and have actual, substantive discussions and civilized debates where things get hashed out and voters can make a determination on who might be better at the job, and not who's funnier, or quippier.

So it was “seen” 181M times and not necessarily viewed. Understood
Still, that does point to how popular and how many people are interested if it’s been passed around and “seen” that many times. Again, it shows how “out there” and consumable it is.

How refreshing it is to see a leader who is not threatening to attack Americans as policy.
A leader who has done massive amounts of good things for America
Massive accomplishments; love for the benefit of this country
BUY know what you folks are experiencing? ...a peek out of the insanity you have been brainwashed to believe

Nothing? You seem to be misunderstanding what number of views means. It's a good indicator of reach, but that's about it. It's a pretty solid number for sure.

No. It means that the tweet was in a person’s feed 181 million times. They don’t even have to view a second of it.

I agree, but the stances he took weren't surprising at all.
