You know you can accept reality and try to help it moving forward at the same time. I know it's easier just to dismiss other people and problems and talk shite about in a message board but there actually are things you can do.

If all those Trump voters got as excited about helping education and the betterment of the communities they live in as they did trolling PC culture, we'd be in a lot better position. Seriously. You guys got so motivated by trying to shut down social justice Warriors. What the hell is it that you stand for anyway?

No one but you can even tell what that means

It means that handing people money for private schools still comes out of taxpayer dollars and someone's making money off of it. If you're going to have a system in which people give up tax dollars then you need to affect change instead of finding someone who's going to be a profiteer. fricking duh

Actually, the question IS: what the hell does your deluded side stand for?!?! Anything and everything goes with you regressives, what was right is now wrong, you're all about feelings and rights, but no responsibilities, etc, etc, etc. Best example of your fellow deluded bunch: the blubber mass from Fresno State. An 'educator,' nevertheless!

Try looking up the difference between 'affect' and 'effect.' Quite illuminating, really!

Oh I know. I'm not saying 5th grade is the correct answer. But we need to take a page from places like Germany who track their students based on ability. Even a math-heavy skilled labor job like carpenter or electrician doesn't really need a full four years of HS. Those last two-three years could be better spent in an apprentice program.

There are some school districts where these types of programs exist, but the same problem remains. By the time a student reaches HS after 8-9 years with no parental support, no interest in learning, the damage is done. They will not have the basic skills needed to learn to be a skilled laborer, nor do they want to, more money to be made selling drugs.

Yes, that would include teachers.

Perhaps you should make chicken salad with chicken shite... as opposed to actual chicken. When you are done, sample your creation. Then you can actually talk shite.

The Left's approach to black poverty and education has been to make effort.

The Left's solution is always to spend more money, Over 40 trillion dollars has been spent on improving education and eliminating poverty since 1965, and it has accomplished nothing.

The Right's approach to black poverty and education has been to simply not give a F, make no attempt, and sit back ridiculing the failures of those who at least tried.

The right ridicules those that kept trying the same solution over and over expecting a different outcome. When every possible solution presented by the Right to resolve the problem is labeled as racist by the Left eventually they are going to quit trying.

I wonder what percentage of those schools are Special Ed students. Of those, what percent are "behaviorally challenged"?. If ZERO students have found success, my guess is that those percentages are quite high. IIRC, those students would be eligible for Social Security. Good times.

You know that you're actually incorrect on that, right?

"Most of the time, you'll want affect as a verb meaning to influence something and effect for the something that was influenced"

lol. Who's choking on their fricking ignorance now? Egg on face for you.

Cutting government funding to the families is the only option. When you know youll have food on your table and a roof over your head and an iphone in your hand regardless of whether you have a job...this is what you get

This is awesome, and I'd bet if you ask the teachers at higher performing schools, they'd report much more parental involvement and support than teachers in lower performing schools.

Shitty teachers overstate parental involvement as a means of excusing their own poor performance.
