Trump is so bad, to all but the redneck branch his supporters, that unless something is done, the Republicans will lose control and not regain it in a generation.

Hmmmm, so a Dem wining the VA governors race is shocking? How about a Dem replacing the fat guy in NJ...was that surprising? Can either of these guys vote on legislation in D.C.? Or can they enact it via the Executive Branch? Better yet can they rule it as unconstitutional? Nope on all 3 so really don’t give a shite about your meanless W’s tonight!

Should the Dems win control of the House in VA, they'll redistrict for 2020 (supposed to happen anyway) and will draw the lines for themselves. I don't like gerrymandering but it's what will happen. And that state will go blue for a bunch of cycles.

It's far from meaningless. You should be familiar with this tactic as well, as it's how the R's gained supermajorities in many state legislatures.

Facts/Reality that go against my world view = I'd rather not think about it now and start a thread celebrating a year old victory. A year, during which, my preferred politician has done nothing of substance with complete party control of the government. [/quote]

Keep watching NBC, MSNBC and whatever propagandist channels you get your news from.

lol thanks I'll continue to read papers that have journalistic integrity. Do you get 90% of your news from Facebook, Breitbart or the Daily Caller?

Tell me exactly what effect a state governor has on national politics. What can a governor in Va. do to effect my life in Arkansas? What effect does my governor have on Va.?

Just trying to understan the importance of a governor's race on a national scale.

The house of delegates is a little more important. Gerrymandering, as I've said above, will keep that state blue for better or worse, and will go blue in future presidential elections.

Then when the the country elects the next anti-christ born in kenya muslim president, you can bitch about it then.
