Update

@ajcsportseditor: Reports suggest Alabama's Kirby Smart has taking defensive coordinator job with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Update #2

@RapSheet: On Kirby Smart-to-Eagles: They are interested in him & other college DCs. They doubt he would leave Bama. Nothing has happened at this point

You want Grantham. He's the better candidate.

Do you think Kirby would turn this job down if he was the #1 candidate?

Not an eagles fan so I don't care who Chip hires. Although, if it was between the two I'd rather Smart leave the SEC west. Georgia is a nothing.

Kirby seems like more of a college coach, but I'm surethis would be a hard gig to turn down. I'd think Kelly would want to surrounds himself with people who gave a little mite experience though

I took "int" as interest rather than interview.

As in Kelly is interested...

Didn't think about that until you said it. But it definitely changes the message in that tweet

Just heard this. Not that big of a deal in my opinion.

Smart was Saban's meat puppet.

Reports suggest? Not exactly the strongest of reports. Think I'll need more before I believe it.

Smart getting NFL experience can only be a plus when he comes back to replace the great Nick Saban.

Nick learned in the NFL and that goes a long way with recruits these days.

Les Miles stint in the NFL lets you tell those recruits what it's like and how I can help you get there and stay there.

Even if he fails, it won't hurt his resume that much... look at Grantham

I hope you feel the same way after we atone for your Clemson loss in our opener against them this year and still feel the same way after we spank your arse in Athens.
