Kansas State - wins over #6 Oklahoma, #13 WVU, #14 Texas Tech

@ TCU
@ Baylor
vs. #23 Texas

Notre Dame - wins over #10 Michigan St, #18 Michigan, #17 Stanford, #8 Oklahoma

Obviously I think we all agree that Alabama will get in if they win out.

Bama and ND. Other 2 don't have the clout of those 2. If all 4 go undefeated, that will be your title game.

Bama is a no brainer.

K-State would have the most impressive body of work if all go undefeated. But everyone knows the media darling Irish would go through.

Interesting. So we have a Bama vs. ND, a Bama vs. Oregon, and a Bama vs. K-State so far

Agree with this. It isn't a popular opinion on this board but I'm of the opinion that the Big XII from top to bottom is the best conference this season. Texas is AWFUL and we beat Ole Miss like a red headed stepchild. The bottom of the SEC is what holds it back THIS season.

What will the impact of the 13th game (Oregon's CCG), vs a team with at least 3 losses, have in comparison to KState and ND's 12 game schedule?

At this point it really is not clear. Bama obviously controls its own destiny while K State doesn't and need both Oregon and ND to lose IMO.

Now between ND and Oregon it's not clear. A few weeks ago I was positive an undefeated ND won't be kept out of the NC but during these weeks, while ND has climbed in the polls, Oregon hasn't given the voters any reason to slide them down. Oregon is holding on to that #2 spot and maybe the voters are waiting for any reason to justify moving them down, we'll see. We'll see just hoe much much weight ND's brand has out there.

for now I have to say Oregon and Bama.

Now you know how the rest of the country felt last year

Bama and Oregon.

Would love to see a Bama/ND championship though. Don't know why others don't.

In the computer, it will help but not by much really. With the voters, it will be huge...however K State will also be playing that day, ND will be off (I think).

I don't see us being dropped from #2 in the polls as long as we win out. Considering they make up 2/3 of he BCS and the computers are 1/3 (of which ours should improve a good amount here on out), I'd tend to think we are fine and control our own destiny. We're only .011 behind ND as it is.

Just need to win! I'm sure there will be plenty of madness in November and this won't matter.

If Bama and Oregon win out I think they are both in. If it's just Bama and ND undefeated I don't think a one-loss team jumps either one. K-State may get fricked because of the non conference championship game.

No one-loss team is jumping K-State.

I meant that if Bama, Oregon and K-State are all undefeated I think K-State will be the team left out of the title game .. even though I think K-State is better than Oregon.

If you look at it logically, I think Notre Dame is out if everyone wins out. They are a bit behind K-State and barely holding off Oregon right now. If Oregon and K-State win out, Notre Dame won't be jumping them in the polls, so they can't gain ground there. They also have the weakest remaining schedule of the 3, which means they won't improve their computer scores at all.

That leaves K-State and Oregon.

Oregon has potentially 4 top 20 teams left on the schedule. They have a leg up on K-State in the human polls, although those points are very close right now. K-State has Oregon on the computer polls by a decent margin right now, but Oregon will make up some ground on that. K-State doesn't have any cupcakes though, so I don't believe they will be penalized for their schedule at all.

I believe if all 4 go undefeated, then Alabama will be playing Kansas St.

If Notre Dame loses a game, that will open the doors for Oregon to be at least top 3 in every computer poll and with their slight lead over K-State in the human polls, that will be enough to put them in the title game vs. Bama.

Not likely when that extra game is against team with probably 3 losses from the WEAK Pac12.
