A 9-3 ranked team is still not beating some pushover. Anyone else would be pointing to that as a pretty good win. Especially if they dominate both games.

As far as speculating, I'll say Bama vs. KSU. Still have a long way to go though. Bama isn't a lock to win next week. KSU could drop one against TCU and SC could salvage their season by knocking off ND.

Agreed, and while Texas is an awful team there is still a lot of talent on the field, they COULD beat Kansas State...but won't.

You say Oregon has the toughest schedule yet you say

Also people need to stop talking about the CG. While it will help some, it won't be that big of a deal...unless it comes down to ND and Oregon because ND won't be playing that week.

They also have the weakest remaining schedule of the 3, which means they won't improve their computer scores at all.

yeah, but thats still a half-assed way to look at ...brad edwards.

computer strength also depends on how well the opponents you already defeated do..so in the case of ND, they obviously need Mich, Stan, Oklahoma to close well.

with that said, its going to be hard to jump oregon, but oregon did lose a few human votes last week so we will see if that trend continues...

Other 2 don't have the clout of those 2

I love how people keep saying this but Notre Dame remains #4 in the polls. If "clout" was the end all be all, ND should be #2 by now. The irony is the thing that could put ND in the BCS CG is the one source where name brand doesn't matter. The computers. If Oregon wins out, they will remain #2 in the human polls. The voters will not more them down just because ND has a bigger name. The non-CFB media will go crazy and will argue for ND and tout their schedule, but Oregon will not move down if they keep winning.

This is true, but Oregon will get a bigger boost as they add better teams.

Alabama, obviously, and Oregon is my guess. Oregon is already #2 in the polls and I don't see them dropping out of that spot with the remaining games they have against USC, Stanford, Oregon St, and the Pac 12 championshp game. They're computer rank will only get better.

I'm with Kirk Herbstreit on this. The computers will eventually start showing Oregon the love if they keep winning. Notre Dame and Kansas State will wind up being left out, even if they run the table.

I think this year is a perfect example of why we needed a playoff. It's just too bad that format doesn't go into effect until 2014.

If Oregon blows out USC this week I think they're in at that point (of course if they win out)

KState has had a really overrated schedule IMO. WVU is down now, texa tech got love for beating up a tired WVU team.

If Michigan state, Michigan, and OU start to lose the ND strength of schedule will not look as well a it did at the beginning of the year.
