#NewOrleansHornets offer #GustavoAyon a three-year, $5 million contract, with the third year at team's option

#GustavoAyon's deal with #NewOrleansHornets depends on Ayon buying out the rest of his #Fuenlabrada contract for reported $1.5 million.

Draft express has him listed as a power forward. What do y'all know about this guy?

Someone will put in an offer on Oak or Kaman.

Oak's tied up long-term while Kaman is a rental who will clear up a shite-ton of cap space at the end of the season.

All I know is the youtube highlights that show him taking guys off the dribble. He's probably more of a 4/5 than an undersized center.

I wonder if both years are guaranteed? (I only count two years because of the team option).

And that's an end of bench contract. 1.6 mill per year. If he turns out to be anything, you got a bargain. If not, its barely a drop in the bucket.

I imagine, if he plays at all, he'll be playing PF mostly and at C, but really a guy to do some dirty work and collect fouls.

Ayon and J Smitty will form a formidable championship quality combo for this organization for years to come.

Ariza -- PG
Aminu -- SG
Ayon -- SF
Okafor -- PF
Kaman -- C

Just the kind of scoring punch we need.

Why not?

What's the league going to do, threaten our spot in the draft lottery? Stern's already taken over the GM position, so he's got too much invested in the team rebuilding to complain.
