Seems official.

Gustavo Ayon has agreed to play for the New Orleans Hornets the next three seasons, the last option of the club. The pivot of Mexico, who had a contract in force with the Fuenlabrada, Madrid set to compensate the 1.5 million dollars, according to his agent confirmed to MARK U.S., Emilio Duran.
The Hornets, under the new agreement, the pivot can only help by providing a maximum of $ 525,000, so the rest of your exit clause personally pay the player, who receive more than five million dollars of the Hornets.
The Fuenlabrada has tried until the last minute to convince their franchise player to continue in the team, but without success. Ayon is grateful to the club from Madrid, who has been given the opportunity to succeed in Europe, and their fans, who always backed him unconditionally, but has decided to fulfill the dream of playing in the NBA, which pursued him since childhood.
The enormous interest in the Hornets, who even traveled to Madrid to persuade, and the fact represent Mexico in a country like the United States have been two other compelling reasons that have led to this decision.
The player will travel to New Orleans a few days and next Monday in Phoenix, slipped for the first time the Hornets jersey in the game his team faced the Suns.

I thought his contract expired this year. Good and bad of that situation. He'll play his hardest to get another contract, which may help us get some wins...which makes our draft positon later when we are trying to rebuild.
