Would you want the new owner to rebrand the team?

Start fresh. Gut the roster, new name, new logo, new colors.

I think now is not the time to decide that. Most of us are reactionary right now and not thinking straight.

Assuming there's a new owner willing to keep the team here...
At this point I think the best option is to trade for draft picks and maybe find an All-Star caliber player who's young and willing to ride it out with Demps and Williams through the rough times. Eric Gordon might be that person.
And YES, new name and logo! When the Timberwolves' ownership was debating a move to NOLA in the 90s, Marc Morial had a (rare) good idea to name the team the New Orleans Rhythm. I don't think the Hornets have laid firm roots in New Orleans. Changing the name might encourage more fan ownership of the team.

New Orleans Jazz always sounded nice.

yes definitely...new name and colors...I feel like this mess has put a pretty bad stigma on the Hornets...

I have been saying before the shite hit the fan that we should rebrand. Make this New Orleans' team, not some bastard step-child of Charlotte and Shinn...

are there any colors that not many teams in the NBA use, let's be unique if we want to do this

Yes. I want Bryan "Birdman" Williams CEO of Cash Money Records to buy the team with his $300 million net worth and rebrand them as -
New Orleans Hot Boyz
New Orleans Hot Boyz

I think it would be cool to do how Pitts does it where there Big 3(Pirates, Steelers, and Penguins) teams all have the same colors.

Black and gold with several different creole or cajun names has been suggested many times on this board. I'm fine with that.

New Orleans Crescents. Same colors, new logos.

Maybe the Pillsbury Dough Boy can be our mascot. I get what you're going for, but that just isn't a good team name.
