I just meant I don't like the idea of somebody trying to "show off" killing deer like this.

Maybe I'm just spoiled with having 2 big of a variety of deer to kill for camp meat and I don't have to put young small deer like these 2 down.

yeah...you don't hunt public land, good for you, not everyone has the opportunity to pick and choose the deer they kill. They take what opportunity presents itself.

The rounds on the stock are what got me. This is after he slung at least two rounds out the barrel.

How long has he been hunting?

I don't understand how people are proud of the animals that they kill on guided hunts or high fence hunts, but to each his own as long as it's legal.

I've been able to hunt maybe 5 times this year. If I was to able to go this weekend and stick a BB on public land, I would be goddamn proud of a successful hunt.

More proud than any deer that I could kill in your pen.

I haven't "shared" a picture of a deer I've killed in over 10 years and I've killed some big ones. I just don't see any point in it.

Why hunt at all if you can't be proud and excited about it? I love seeing pics of anything that another hunter has taken and hearing the story and sharing their experience

I'd be proud. Killing on public land is hard. To me at least

I killed this deer on public land and am proud as hell of it. First deer in 2 years and only 3rd public land deer I have ever killed. I'm 26 and was so damn excited about this. I was also stoked to kill a bunch of blackjacks and shovelers on opening morning of duck season. Don't judge other people. Props to the dude and smh at you. Disappointing to see "sportsmen" admonishing other hunters for being proud of their kill, regardless of the situation.

I got no problem with the guy killing these on public land or anywhere else. However, I am glad to see the there has been a shift from the brown it's down way if thinking. Just 10yrs ago killing those deer wouldn't have even brought up a negative comment.

I would love it if La would implement an antler restriction. We have proven we can grow big deer if they get a chance to grow.

My opinion on paid hunts or management leases is, you can't kill something that isn't there. I don't have 160+ bucks running all around my woods. We have a lot of good deer but 140" is about as good as it gets. They don't get to live long enough to get bigger.
