Why shoot a marginal deer just b/c it has horns? If you want meat, shoot a nanny. That Buck has made it through 2 seasons and next year could be a trophy quality buck. Looks to be a 6-pt. Next year a solid 8 with some width as well.

yeah its not your deer but everyones deer, thats a hard choice. It feels good to be at that point of your hunting life that you have stopped to think about it, but only you know who hunts around you and if they would let him walk

I think it also depends on the rest of your herd. Do you have better deer out there to make you think that this guy has the genes to get much better? I def. think he is young enough to grow if the food sources and genetics are favorable.

I agree with nico he looks 3.5 to me. With protein and minerals he should have a better rack next year
