The permit for a silencer has to be a pain in the butt

This noise level is very minimum to begin with

Unless you want to sneak up and shoot targets in the back of ones head

Accuracy range is less than a hundred yards, not a sniper gun

Not looking to argue Minutes of angle, Just why bother with a 22 silencer.

My larger gun is a 7 mm rem mag and makes a lot of noise requiring ear muffs

Oh no sir. Hits on rabbits at 200 yards are very doable

Less noise is always good. Why wouldn't you want one? Not to mention, squirrel hunt out of deer stand = awesome.

Mine are pretty darn accurate at a hundred yards

I was shooting my 22LR at 275yds today. I’ve shoot it out to 350yds.

Clearly you have never shot one. I challenge you to shoot one then the question will answer itself.

Shoot a .22LR pistol with and without. It’s a shockingly loud round in a pistol

Assassin’s all used them on 22 revolvers in the 80s-90s. The assassins gun of choice.

This and the big interest in Night Vision scopes is starting to make me nervous.

Do u guys know something we don’t ? Lol

My buddy just got an integrally suppressed Tactical Solutions rifle. It really makes you giggle like a kid when you shoot it.

You sound like a hater.

You can shoot standard velocity and make less noise than CB shorts. 300+ fps more, less noise, more accuracy.

Its about the most awesome thing you can legally own without paying stupid money for select fire.

I looked at about a dozen ballistics charts for 22lr and none of them went to 350 yards. Extrapolating the curves, it looks like a 25 foot drop to 350.

I am not interested in MOA discussion, just a general question about why folks put silencers on 22's

I have a ruger 22 revolver and it does make a bit of noise, but that a good thing. the other folks at the range think I am shooting a manly 45

Sit on the porch of the camp and shoot one and then tell me you don’t want one!!
I have been dragging arse on getting one but a 22 is what really makes me want one.

Idk anybody shooting that far with their .22 rimfires, but I'll check my app tomorrow. I bet with a 20moa rail it could be done.

I know a guy that is trying to get a hit with a .22 at 1000yds. He is using an ELR scope base that has 60 minutes in it.

While I was typing this response I got a YouTube notification for the following short video.

Rifles that shoot to 300yd pretty much all have a 30moa scope base.

I know quite a few people that shoot to 300yd and beyond.
