Fished the north end of Little Halfmoon Bay sunday morning. 14 small specs, 6 bigger white trout, 3 or 4 throwback reds. After seeing meauxjeaux's Lake Pontchartain report I think I'll hit it next.

Barcroft, today. The cold front comes tomorrow and I do believe it's going to be the last good day of the year here in the DC area.

Where? I'm hearing the trout are hitting along the shorelines just on the outside of the L&N bridge, all the way to alligator point?

There were plenty of fat reds in the marsh west of Bay Adams in Empire over the weekend. The amount of pogies out there is crazy. Caught 30+ reds a day sight fishing flats with spinners and spoons. Perfect weather!!!

Yeah, we came into them and had to move. Too much bait, the odds were against us.
Moved up shore and found some nice trout.

Fished some marshes off Escambia Bay (north of Pensacola). Hooked into two large redfish in my kayak. Both snapped my line when they surfaced near the boat.

And a GATOR tried to attack me because I have LSU stickers on my yak.

Forgot to say that I saw a huge flock of ducks there too.

Took the kids out to mouth of the East Pearl. Dead shrimp on the bottom croakers and 1 flounder. They had fun. Maybe next time we will bring home some keepers, but for now just good ole memories.
