What do you mean by fasting? Absolutely no food or minimum food? I would love to try something like that just to see how long I could do it.

No food. I drank buttermilk blended with raw eggs.
ETA: it was a personal goal I wanted to accomplish before I turned 40. I broke fast on my 40th bday with ribeye and grilled shrimp.

Hell that'd be the easy part. You gotta have crazy endurance. You're going 100 days and you won't be comfortable for a moment of it. Even with food provided I couldn't last that long knowing all I have to do is radio in.
I dunno I spent 2 weeks in Canada canoeing and walking the portages from lake to lake carrying a pack and my canoe over my head. Granted I had more equipment than the show but it wasn’t that much. Canoe, tent, pack with a few pots, matches, knife, other basic equipment. Satellite phone for emergencies. 2 fishing poles and one small tackle box. I did have a food pack of freeze dried food but I caught over 400 fish on that trip so easily could have survived on that alone. I also swam down in the lake and collected mussels and cooked those.
Camped on an island on Lake Wicksteed most of the time. The worst was the portages, carrying all that shite back and forth a mile through woods to the next lake sucked. Took a day and a half to get to wicksteed and 2 days to get to the pickup spot
Got caught up in a real bad storm one day, blew my tent up and into a tree and my gear all over the place, slept that night in a pool of cold water after fixing the tent. That was miserable. Overall it’s a fun experience I recommend, you get a true feel of nature and its beauty and power. Honestly it’s amazing to be out there away from the world, you feel at peace
ETA obviously on the show the weather becomes a big factor. My trip was in July, so 100 days getting into the winter would be a different ballgame.

I don’t like being naked around strangers and I’d rather be alone depending on myself and not someone else.
Bigger question what 3 items (if they still do that)would you choose if you went on naked and afraid.
Machete
Pot
Flint or other fire starter

Depending on where you're at makes a difference, but if it is a rainy/cold area on nights and near a stream, I would take the following:
1. Ferro Rod Fire Starter
2. Good Survival/Bushcraft Knife
3. GoreTex Bivy Cover
The fire starter is a must have. I prefer a good size (but not too big) survival knife to make all kinds of tools, utensils, traps, etc. The bivy will keep you warm and dry in a complete downpour and also keep mosquitoes and other insects off of you. I don't need a pot if there's a stream available. I will start a fire and dig a seep hole next to the stream. I collect some rocks and heat them in the fire, and use sticks to dump them in the seep hole which will boil the water directly in the ground. Let the water cool and drink directly from the seep hole or find a hollow reed, etc. to use as a straw. If bamboo is available, you can boil and drink water from the bamboo tubes you can cut There's other ways to make drinking vessels if you can scavenge the right materials.
EDIT: Naked & Afraid might not allow a bivy, but it is an awesome packable survival item. Also, another tip if you learn how to make a deadfall trap. Try to put it near tall grass (like the edge of a field) and preferably on a small game trail instead of out in the open, plus cut some small sticks and drive them vertically around the large deadfall rock sides (creating side "fences") to keep mice, etc. from jumping out of the sides of the deadfall trap when it falls. Pack some grass in around the sticks. That's the proper way to ensure more kills and I have never seen anyone on these TV shows do this.

They pick your destination and limit where you can go.

Yup, that's pretty much what I was talking about. Even with a good shelter I don't think those guys are ever not cold. It's one thing to survive it if you have to but I'd think it takes a whole different level of mental toughness to survive that knowing that all you have to do to end it is use the radio in your pocket.

I do a fair amount of this type of canoe camping. Very limited gear and ultralight.
Every time I start thinking I could do something like Alone, I remember that between the clothes, tent, bag, and other gear, I’m probably walking in to the woods with two to four thousand dollars or more worth of gear for a known amount of time.
Whole different ball game.

Naked appears to be a three week eat nothing, shiver, and get bitten by bugs to say you did good show. It simply isn’t sustainable
Alone is slightly better. There have been a couple folks on that tgst coulda stayed forever.

Alone. Last thing I need is more people laughing at me when I'm naked. My wife does that enough.

Alone by far it’s always in a cold place so bugs are a big issue and you have tools plus clothes.

Naked and Afraid for me.
All I'd bring is a Thermacell and refills.
By day 3 I'd have everybody else gathering my food and firewood just to sleep next to me..
