I’m looking at the following.
I know price varies greatly between them.

CZ SCORPION
SIG MPX
RUGER PC CHARGER
CMMG BANSHEE (although maybe in 45 on this)

If there are any others you’d like to vouch for feel free.

CZ Scorpion Micro

Cheap mags
Reliable
Fun AF to shoot
Cheap mags

I have one with a binary trigger. Can do a 35 rd mag dump in 4-5 seconds.

MPX. I have a radial delayed 9mm upper. It's nice but if the MPX was even close to the same price it would have been a no brainer

I’ve shot the scorpion and MPX and they are both a blast. The pc charger does interest me because it breaks down so easily. In other words a really cool “backpack” gun.

I am very interested to see how the PSA PS5 looks when it’s released. I know people crap all over PSA, and their ARs aren’t too awesome. But I have their GF3 AKp and it’s one of the most well put together guns I own.

Unless I can find a nice used one, probably out of my price range

None, what are you going to do with a 9mm pdw??? Sure 9mm sub machine guns are FUN, but semi auto... meh. Get something in a rifle caliber, there are plenty to choose from if you are truly getting it to use for defense.

I already own two rifle calibers.

I love my scorpion and the magazines are cheap. If you do get a scorpion make sure to get a safety delete for the right side if your right handed. It will dig into your finger.

CZ Scorpion

I can't believe you are seriously asking this question.

CMMG BANSHEE

The reasons:
1) I can buy multiple uppers (if you buy the one that takes pmags), so if I register It as a SBR, I get multiple SBR firearms with one tax stamp.
2.) It suppresses well, and supposedly causes less gas in the face because of the delayed action.
3.) It uses a lot of readily available AR-15 accessories.

H&K or B&T are the only right answers. But out of your list, I would choose the MPX.

Edited to add the B&T knockoff - Stribog SP9A1 as a legit option.

Out of those I would go scorpion.

This 100%. The stock safety will dig in bad after a very short time. I went with a low profile ambi instead of the delete. I would also recommend the HB industries trigger springs to lighten up the trigger. Both of these options are cheap and make a huge difference.

If you aren't over-anxious you can usually catch a deal and get for $640-740, then add a brace for ~$100-120
