When will we see ammo/gun prices come down?

After COVID cooled down, we actually began to see some slight cooling. You could get quality 9mm ball ammo for only 2x the normal price Then Minneapolis and Atlanta hit back to back and shite went crazy again.

Will this continue into the election and stay this bad if Biden wins? Or will we see some reprieve before November?

Come down? I'd settle for "available" at this point. I can't even find a damned threaded adapter for my can. How the frick is there a run on threaded adapters?!

Don't you know how pricing works 99% of the time? Once something goes up, it almost always never comes down, but if it does, it's usually in a lower quantity or quality.

And for sure as long as there's these idiots demonstrating AKA rioting/looting, the price will likely only go up further as supply can't keep up with demand.

Never. I asked the dude at the gun counter at BPS when they would get more guns in, because they ain’t got shite for guns or ammo.

He said, and I quote, “Probably never.” He said the ATF was limiting the amount of guns they could buy.

I had heard that before at a smaller store, but grain of salt and all.

Anyone else hear anything like that?

What adapter are you looking for? I need one for my Gemtec 45 to go on my new Banshee 10 mm and nowhere has any.

Anyone used .223/ 5.56 ammo by WOLF? I had some Russian ammo years ago was giving me jamming issues due to the tar build up.

If the current social issues stabilize for "a while", prices and availability could improve. Things may be easing up some since I noticed Midway USA is offering free shipping for orders >$49 for the second time in a month. They usually offer it every month or so, but hadn't offered since Covid started until just recently.

If Biden, what we're experiencing now will look like "good times."

I slung some Tula 223 downrange today, no issue.

Also some Red Army 308, as the C308 actually prefers steel to brass; after 100 rds of steel I put a mag of Korean surplus, and the first rd stuck (I guess all the blowback from the flutes). A firm pull on the charging handle, it came out a little black, and the rest of the mag ran good.

Now, I did spend $5 at O'Reilly's afterwards, got their 2 for $5 brake cleaner deal. Hosed everything out good before starting with the brushes, patches etc. Only used 1 can, and I probably went overboard but got everything spic and span. Recoated with Ballistol afterwards.

Clean your gun afterwards, you'll be fine.

The high price you pay for ammo now might be worth it down the road.

‘’GM9 in 5/8-24‘’

I’ve called Gemtec and he couldn’t even guess when the one I need will be back in stock.

Same here. I called yesterday and the lady I talked to could see that it was slated for more production, but couldn't tell me when or how many they were making.

I can find the piston I need but I need the fixed one. I have a Revolution 45 in jail that’s just for the 10 mm but I want to use the GM for now. Griffin makes a sleeve you can put on their pistol pistons and mount to fixed barrel. I asked Gemtec but they would not say that would work. I don’t see why not. Same setup.

Wolf is fine. I don’t like Tula but if that’s all you can get...

I'm kinda in the same boat. It's a piece of metal with threads to engage the can on one side and threads to engage the barrel on the other. It can't be that complex, but given the cost of a can and the year the ATF makes you wait, I'm not willing to experiment and risk a baffle strike.

If they cost $100 and I could pick them up anywhere, I'd be trying all kinds of homebrew stuff.
