The only hunting I get to do any more is duck and deer. I enjoy doing both but I grew up hunting rabbits and have really been missing it.
Listening to the dogs working is pretty special. When you hear them turning back in your direction it gets the heart rate up.

i love to deer hunt, but i have to say rabbit hunting is my favorite. for me it doesn't get much better than hearing the dogs run. it can get intense when you have two chases going on at a time plus looking out for sneakers. btw, i'm from lower bayou blue and i have killed my share of rabbits down there.

Wild Turkey... I've killed Easterns, Osceolas, Merriams, Rios, and Goulds subspecies. My favorite is the Merriam.
I've hunted turkey in LA, AL, TX, TN, GA, SC, FL, IA, WI, OK, SD, Chihuaha, Mexico and probably a few more I've forgot.
I've hunted whitetails in Saskatchewan and Alberta, and elk in New Mexico. My favorite remains chasing gobblers...

Turkey hunting is bad arse. People just don't understand until they go and get some gobblers in close...
At least I didn't...

The best duck hunts are the ones where you have to start picking out drakes or suzies to fill your limit with "good" ducks and letting everything else go

Thankfully, it comes down to this a good bit on our land. But more of species shooting rather than male/female. We aren't the biggest fans of dogris

That's how our usually start out. Shoot your trash ducks to fill the limit, then shoot only good ducks, then start going for male/female. Of course, these kinds of days don't happen all of the time, but I feel fortunate to have been on a lot of hunts where that is the case...

I like dove best so far, tried it for the first time this year. But I've only been deer, dove and varmint hunting. I've heard duck is the best but in my 18 years of living in LA never had the opportunity. Finally have a shot gun and been shooting skeet and doves and can imagine ducks are a blast. If someone wants needs a hunting partner let me know..

This past spring I set up under the tree that a few turkeys were roosted in. Didn't know it until I made a real quite call.
I could literally fell the gobble in my chest. It made the hairs o the back of my neck stand up. Absolutely incredible experience, one I will never forget.
But I love duck hunting first. It's a more social experience and if you have someone in the blind with you more than likely you enjoy your time with them and can enjoy yourself that much more.

Whats your favorite animal to hunt(Deer/Duck/Elk/Coyote/Cougar/Bear/etc)? Reasoning?
Nothing like a bunch of mallards with their feet down about to land in a timber hole.

Favorite state/area to hunt in?
I hunt in Central La some of the best duck hunting in the state IMHO.

What's your best kill to this point?
Like was said earlier if I told you, you wouldn't believe me.

Turkey then Deer. I love to hunt a big mature buck but I really love to hear a Big Thunder Chicken sound off in the morning and get to fool with him and kill him but the ones you don't kill is the reason I keep chasing them. VERY VERY addicting!
