In my hunting days, it was mountain goat or Dall sheep.

Deer

185 lb 9pt (10pt if you count the broken G4) Stud for the fresh water marsh we hunted.

Duck and deer hunting are neck and neck. A duck hunt where the blind kills a limit of mallards is the equivalent of killing a 120" deer imho.

Turkey...

Let a nice long beard gobble at you within 20 yards and see how you feel.

Duck hunting. There are only two things (outdoorwise) that are remotely close.

Turkey and Saltwater fishing.

No that one came from our marsh lease in Golden Ranch killed December of 1997. We had 3000 acres leased from Cenac. Our camp was the one on temple bay near the point.

Probably the action and not having to be very quiet. When the ducks are flying it is hard to beat.

It's been well documented that I have a slight infatuation with turkeys.

yeah just a tad

Duck is fun because of the action. And nothing beats the sights and sounds of flocks working in the morning

The communication with the birds. The spring woods. The stealthiness in which you have to hunt them.

It just feels like real hunting. You are moving around. You are communicating with the birds.

There is nothing better than having a gobbler answer your call as the sun rises on a perfect spring morning.

Turkey hunting is all about the chase. They're incredible animals! Keen vision and hearing. You walk and stalk for a while just for a chance to get a shot. It's the most challenging to hunt in this area

Hard to say if one is better than the other. Deer/duck both have their advantages. Dove hunting is a social event IMHO, but I like shooting them and drinking beer, so it's all good...
