Smith & Wesson .357 Magnum model 66-2. I also have a Lorcin .25 to carry in the back pocket.

And if that don't work, I pull out this one.

I like this.
I traded my 629 for a 1911. Love love love the 1911, but still miss the big wheel gun.

I bought the snub nose .357 off a guy in the early 90's for $125. Best deal I've ever gotten on a weapon!

I don't CC, worried I might pop a cap in a tailgaiter.
Under my seat is a .45 Colt auto with 230 gr. HP.

Glock 19.Really like this as a carry, but would like to have a Judge for home defense. I keep my Glock on me or near me at all times. Gets on my wife's nerves.

Usually it's my Taurus PT247. If I need to keep it in my pocket, I go with my Taurus Ultra-Lite 85 .38. My wife carries a Kel-tec P3at.
ETA: Don't tell LSUwag, but sometimes I keep it strapped to the bottom of my steering column.

Judge for home defense
I thought about going to this for my home defense. Since I live in an apartment I keep a Mossberg 500 with #4 buck but would like something that I can just have on my night stand ready to go.

Wife and I both carry S&W M&P9c with Crimson Trace - I like the laser, when I hold the gun close, I know where I am hitting. Besides, she could not hit the State Capitol standing on the steps with open sights, but she is deadly with a red dot on something... LOL
For home defense, The Judge...

The vast majority of the time, hot or cold, I carry a 3 1/2" or 4 1/4" 1911 using an inside the waistband holster, the Lone Wolf-T (LINK More and more I find myself carrying the 1911's in a Remora "Clip Less" holster (LINK I also carry a Kel-Tec PF9 (9mm) sometimes w/ an IWB holster (LINK During the summer, the PF9 is pocket carried in cargo shorts LINK
; during the winter, the PF9 is carried in the IWB holster. I rarely carry a Kel-Tec P3AT (380 ACP), but when I do it's in Wolf Pup pocket holster (LINK
My first cc gun was supposed to be a Springfield XD in 40 S&W. It didn't take long for me to find out I really like single stack magazine guns a lot better for cc, compared to double stack. Now I never cc the XD. OTOH, I just bought another single stack cc gun, a Kahr CW45 in 45 ACP. I hope I like it as well, or better, than my 1911's.
Be sure you get a good holster. I'm very pleased w/ my 4 IWB holsters. Although all my IWB holsters are tuckable, I carry untucked about 3/4 of the time, especially w/ the Remora.
For whatever holster you end up w/, be sure you buy a quality belt designed for holster carry. Trying to carry a $500 gun in a $70 holster on a $20 belt from Wal-Mart will frustrate you! Most holster makers also produce holster belts. It will cost more than a WM belt, but will also last a LOT longer.
