I’ve had my 7.3 250 for almost 2 years now and love the truck. I do 80% city driving and average around 14.8 mpg so no complaints there based on the truck size and gas engine. I tow a boat and car hauler occasionally and have zero complaints there either. I know the engine is still relatively new but I think it will age well.

This is what 90% of diesel truck owners do and like Downshift has said, a gasser is more fitting for this considering Diesel engine, maintenance and fuel costs.

Exactly…I definitely couldn’t justify the cost of a diesel nor did I want one. When pricing out (back in late 2020) the cost difference of the f150 vs f250 with the 7.3, it was extremely close. To me having this truck is the best of both worlds, larger truck without diesel expenses. I had test driven a 250 with the 6.2 years ago before I purchased my f150 and wasn’t all that impressed. The new 7.3 fits this truck perfectly and provides the perfect amount of power for those wanting a larger truck but not needing the diesel.

I’m browsing some 2020’s. What’s the highest mileage y’all would feel comfortable buying used? I’m thinking 50-60k.

Does that cargo weight you calculated need to include trailer tongue weight, too?

No, that’s remaining PL over trailer weight.

I once saw a 2019+ ram 3500 DW, long bed with a hemi. I didn’t know if the guy was insane or insanely smart as it was such a rare combo.

That's exactly what I want, what she run you if you don't mind me asking?

I may go a size bigger on the bed.

I never knew the 7.3's had that neat little badge on them. Definitely don't see many around.

I did a 500 mile search and there was less than 30 available in the criteria I wanted. Crazy.

Now that you said it, I don’t see the 7.3 badge anywhere else. Pretty sure old boy who traded that in put those himself.

Nice 2 tone.
With those 3.55 gears you will get better unloaded mileage.
