So I've got this buddy who has a 4 footer behind his house in a brake that is drying up. He doesn't want the gator in the brake because of the potential to eat his dogs and children. He wants to relocate the gator, preferably to his freezer. It would be easy enough to shoot the bastard, but then he'd sink. And putting a boat in is damn near impossible because you can't get within 15 ft of the water's edge without sinking up to your forehead in sludge, literally. So, any ideas on how this feller can get this gator?

Bait him to the bank, then shoot him?

Or an offshore rod and reel with some heavy line and a treble hook.

4 footer ain't gonna give you much to "relocate" to your freezer.

He could try it. But he doesn't really have time to sit back there and deer hunt this alligator.

He's thought about this, but the water is covered in duck weed and ripping a treble hook through it would be tough.

His freezer. The main thing is getting the gator out of the brake. He works with his retrivers back there.

put some braided line on a reel and throw any topwater bait with big treble hooks that you have and work it right in front of him....gators are stupid and will bite anything you throw in front of them.

drag him to shore, choot him

Just shoot him.

And then shoot his momma, cause that is the one to worry about.

Then have 'your friend' go get some chicken..it tastes just like gator

Ever seen swamp people? Bait him with chicken on a pole, drag him out and up into the back of a truck and tape his mouth

Gators love Ribit frogs, for some reason. Put one on a 5/0 hook on a heavy rod with braid. My brother has caught several this way.

I've actually never seen a gator not go after a Ribit frog.

take a picture of a judge pistol and post it on a tree near the brake.

It will literally scare the hell out of the gator and he will relocate himself, for fear of getting shot in the face.

Ribit frogs

This. Saw one on a log by Jack Millers and threw my SCUM frog at him and he chased it all the way to the boat.

Just make sure you get a good hook set with that ribbit frog, I would use a top water with trebles...easier to hook them imo...you could throw a stick in front of a gator and it will bite it

Just release a 12' in there and you will no longer have a 4' in there.

Chicken, heavy twine and a hook. Tie line to a tree if at all possible if not drive a steak into the ground tie twine to it. Hook chicken to hook and throw it on the side of the water. no need for a pole. Guaranteed within 24hrs you will have the gator.
