There have been two stray dogs around the neighborhood for the last couple of days. My daughter has played with them some and last night went outside and the dogs were there. She was giving them something to eat and the dogs started fighting. She was bitten and my wife took her to the Dr to be treated.

Should I take matters into my own hands and dispose of the dogs myself or contact animal control?

TIA

It depends on where you live. Considering it's a neighborhood I would contact animal control.

Depends on the neighborhood. I would go ahead and call animal control and let them get to work. However, if the opportunity presented itself, I would go ahead take care of it.

Depends on neighborhood... but if your neighborhood has strays in it, I doubt they care if you take care of it yourself

Let them trap the dogs. If you're in a neighborhood, chances are that someone will call for brandishing/firing a weapon

We don't live in a large neighborhood and it is pretty rural, but I could see a video of me taking care of the dogs while children watched being broadcast on some Facebook page.

Also, the wife advised against it. Probably better that cooler heads prevailed.

Depends on how cute they are. Cute dogs are hard to Pew Pew. And your kids might hate you forever for shooting a dog.

Why don't you quit feeding them, for one?

Do you know what the neighbors say when they hear a single gun shot in a neighborhood?

"I think I heard a gun shot"

*wait*

*listen*

*wait longer*

*listen*

"Nope, never heard a second shot. Must not have been a gun shot"

*turn back on TV*
