I’ve got a very nice wood stock 10/22 that I’m going to leave open sites but just picked up one of carbon fiber 10/22’s and ordered a Dead Air Mask can for it. Outside of throwing a dirt cheap Simmons for 30 years ago on a marlin model sixty I’ve never put a decent scope on a .22.

What would y’all recommend putting on this thing. I don’t really have a budget but for sure not wanting to put a Steiner on it

I’m flat out if spare scopes I think.

I mean realistic budget.

I’m not buying a $3500 scope for a 10/22 but have on other stuff if have.

I got the gun for $55 out for pocket

Great minds think alike I just ordered this Friday and bought a Dead Air Mask for it.

LINK

Paperwork for the can is done, waiting on SS to ship to dealer. Gun will be here Thrusday. I'm going to start out with a red dot I have currently and see how I like it, may go with glass later. Let me know what you go with.

I have an inexpensive Bushnell 3x9 scope on my 10/22, works just fine…

SWFA fixed 10x

The focus goes down to something like 5 meters. Great reticle and dials very reliably and cheap to boot.

Leupold Rimfire 3-9x40 is what I have on my latest build, keep in mind that most any scope in the Leupold line you can send in and get the paralex reset to 40 or 50 yards. I did this several years ago with a FX3 fixed 6x42 and put it on the Finnfire.

I have an old VX-1 rimfire on mine. Haven’t found a reason to upgrade, it’s been great for this rifle.

This is a comparable current model LINK, but I wouldn’t mind the 3-9x40.

Nightforce NX8 1-8x24

But seriously. I put a Leupold vx3 3-9x 40 on one of mine I don’t recommend it due to it not having an adjustable parallax.

Have an sig Whiskey something 3-9x40 on another that does have adjustable parallax and it’s really great.

You can just take the threaded front lens cover off and adjust parallax yourself on a Leopold

I ordered my gun last night on Bass Pro to get the 10% off for club Monday and used points from my card so it came out to $55.85 then I got $25 in additional points. I ordered my mask but was being cheap so I chose the hold option to get the free stamp after the 1st.

I went with another 10/22 because I have all the 25 round mags already from my other one and needed the can for my Ruger Mark V.

I put a 40 yr old Redfield 2x7 on mine.
Any $150 scope will do IMO.

I got a hawke vantage 3 9x40 .22 IR HV.

I see they have the same one with BDC for subsonic ammo.

What are you going to do with the gun? I have a Burris scope on one of my 22s. I think it's 3-9x. Reticle holds great and you're not gonna be shooting targets at 200+ yards where you need more magnification.
