I hunted Cree land near Lake Cormorant this Spring for black bear. I decided not to take one although my group of 10 harvested 6 bears.
Next hunt is Grand Prairie Canada for ducks and geese.
This winter it's Texas for feral hogs, Nilgai, and Auodad.
I stopped hunting for about a decade, the show Meateater rekindled my enthusiasm and I am back enjoying the outdoors.

Alabama every other (or every) weekday starting October 15th till February 10th, then Ky Rut bow hunting from October 24th till the 27th… maybe an TX rifle hunt somewhere mixed in..

It’s definitely the hot spot for Louisiana residents. Been that way for the last 4-5 years. After this year, I’ll probably find somewhere else to go. I’m expecting Missouri to be really packed this year.

Well it used to be about 10 a year to Texas but now that I’m in Texas it will be 1 back to Louisiana to gator hunt.
I need to book some hunts to Kansas and some other places I’ve never been but not real sure where to start.

The company I work for gives us 6 weeks off w pay every 4 years.
I’m taking my 3rd sabbatical from thanksgiving till mid January. It’s on!

What? I get 5 weeks off per year but rolled some so I have 6.5 weeks off this year.

It will be the first week of November. I know it’s not prime time but it’s when I can do it. I typically go “bird” hunting and shoot what I can.

Well i get ‘unlimited time off’
So I don’t accrue PTO anymore
But the 6 week sabbatical is standard for every 4 years of service.

I no longer get PTO. I have unlimited time off as long as my accounts teams take care of my customers w a backfill.

I have been going out of state for 20 years now. Over the last 5-6 years the amount of southern states license plates everywhere is crazy!
How great hunting in Illinois was in the early 2000’s is something I’ll always remember.
