I usually spray that cutter yard control stuff all over my fence and in the yard around the pool and it does a decent job with the mosquitoes but this year they are still tagging me. Even spraying deep woods deet on my exposed body they bite the places I missed. Also horseflies are a pain in texas this year. I bought a bug trap that works well but it smells like a rotting fish. Do you Louisiana guys have any suggestions?

I found an old school bug light works pretty good for horse flies.
And it’s entertaining.

The way you said that is a bit concerning, couple questions. Can I, as a non pesticide technician buy this? also will my family suffer healthwise because its there?

I haven’t heard of the first one but you can get Bifen on Amazon. Concentrate him mix with water in a garden sprayer. I used to spray every 3 weeks or so, but in central Alabama this year mosquitos have been bad so I’m doing it every other week. A ton of rainy days and hot weather have made the breeding grounds much worse.

I spray bifen every 6 weeks.

1/2 gal on Amazon was about $120. I am two years in and only halfway thru it. Probably spray a little too often, but that shite works.

Yes. No.

It can also be used as termiticide.

The Purple Martins did a great job for me this year but they are about to go south. We live on a lake and have five houses full.
I used to spray Garlic tea when we lived in Shreveport to control mosquitoes, worked great but won’t last in a rain.

What works for horesflies while you're on a boat? The horseflies were drawing blood on our legs while fishing yesterday. What kind of spray works for those bastards

We had two spartan mosquito tubes laying around so I hung them up a while back just to get rid of them. For some reason the mosquitos haven’t been bad at all for this year. I think it’s probably a coincidence, because I didn’t think they would actually work, but I may buy some more.

Aside from that, the only thing we’ve done is call the parish and have them come spray my property.

This is what I do. They come out and spray for free. It helps for a while.

Talstar P. Spray it on everything and the plants too. Kills all kinds of shite you don't want.

And a couple of things you do want.
