How do you know he didn't suffer a recent head injury and develop super powers to be able to smell them from miles away?

I sat too close to the TV as a child. Unlocked some pretty cool powers.

See that’s where you’re wrong. We kill hundreds of the frickers a year. But you’re not stalking up on them, smelling the air and sniping hogs. It’s not happening. Can you smell them? Absolutely. But by the time you do they’re tear assing thru the woods. Can you post some pictures off these hogs you’re sniping? Maybe give your method, weapon of choice, tell a few tales of your sniping kills?

Im gonna one up you...... Yes, you can smell them and you must sound like a bull in a china shop when you walk through the woods. We use to spot and stalk them in a WMA while in college. Guess what, we did it with bows. Why? That's what the rules of the WMA dictated that we could use at the time. Nailed one in the arse at 50yrds and by chance sliced its femoral artery. We would take our boots off and walk in our socks to be quiet as possible. Of course we got winded/spotted the majority of times and success rate was low, but as the saying goes, " A blind hog finds an acorn every now and then". You sound like a really bad hunter. No need to be a dick because you can't spot and stalk.

I'm calling bullshite on that. I imagine your dad is paying somebody to set traps for him. I doubt you're involved with it further than showing up to take a selfie like the soft bitch you come off as.

Sure, I'll bite. I normally shoot a .22 WMR and kill most of the pigs during nutria or squirrel/bow season before they get a lot more pressure during deer rifle season. I've hunted these areas for years so I know how they move and feed. They travel a transition area between hardwoods and swamp. You can tell when they've just been through by the muddy water. The pics below are from my first day out last year. I was fishing in the morning and heard the sounder feeding. I tied my boat up, walked about 100 yards, shot two. The third came up a minute or two later and I plugged him as well.

He's dead, the kicks are just nerves. He had a bullet through his head.

Below is another that I "sniped". I was moving slowly along an area where it was clear they were recently feeding. I could hear some palmettos moving and could tell it was not with the wind. I took my boots off and eased in to the palmettos since I was right with the wind. 20 yard shot. Couldn't get a safe shot at the rest of them when they scattered. My ice chest was running out of room so I went home instead of going back out the next morning.

4 on my first day out after them. I hunt 2 or 3 days a week all season.

I really like when they fit in a backpack.

This is one of the last ones that I killed this year. Wet sow, very fatty. Great eating. Cured/smoked one of her hams for easter.

You seem like a real dick but if you'd like to learn how to hunt I'd be happy to show you a few things.

ETA: I'm not a liar. I just make shite up.

There’s a guy i don’t personally know from chalmette. He likes to train for ultra marathons by running around WMAs. He kills an unbelievable amount of animals doing this. Most either with a recurve,.22 or a pistol Depending on what the rules are. I believe you, anyone who puts in the time and covers a lot of ground can kill a lot of animals.

Great Hunt.

I admit to not hunting hogs in a few years and when I did it was on a lease. However, the hogs were hunted hard with traps and dogs after deer season.

I have killed many doing exactly what you do. I preferred a 12 ga slug but I see you prefer the rifle and head shots. Excellent.

Don't know that dude's problem but if you can keep the wind in your face and don't sound like a bull in a china shop, you can creep hogs.

Maybe he should spend more time in the woods practicing his stalking skills than sitting on his arse watching Hog Masters or whatever the latest fads-shows are on Outdoor Channel.

.22 wmr is the most powerful round I can legally use during nutria/squirrel season. I'd love to be able to use buckshot.

Once they get pressured they get pretty tough to kill where I hunt. After rifle season in Sherb I walked about 15 miles without seeing one or much fresh sign.

All by thermal hunting at night
- by my own gun +/- 15 this calendar year
- in a group with friends w/ thermals +/- 40-50
- since starting thermal hunting last summer +/- 75-100

in a years time me and 2 guys wiped them out within a 1 mile radius of our camps. They are still near by but none of us has had one on camera in 3 months now. Time to find new pigs hunting lands or join some deer clubs just for hog hunting
